The chrono still uses the same clasp as the swiss santos 100. I also purchased the santos 100 as one of my very first reps and like I was frustrated with flaws. The dial on the santos chrono is basically spot on and the crown is very accurate. It's a great watch without a doubt but for me I still prefer the simplicity and elegance of the orginal santos 100. Also the chrono seems to have a better looking strap form your pics. Great watch and great pics! Isn't the crown on the chrono larger than the crown on the santos 100?

The only thing really needed on this watch is the dial. Everything else is accurate. Well...the crown sapphire is not the correct cut but that is not a big deal when compared to the dial. The leather strap is usually junk but with some leather conditioner it could look ok I suppose. This is a great rep straight out of the box but after all these years the rep makers never decided to correct the dial cause the santos 100 is not a big seller when compared to PAMs and other hot watches these days. no need to pour more money into a watch that is at the end of it's economic life cycle. No doubt that all the new reps coming out these days make our old reps not seem as cool. But I got to say Woody- the Santos 100 is a timeless (no pun intended ) watch. The Santos can be a super rep for cheaper than most so called super reps these days. I will be selling 1 fully modded watch when I am done. The other one will be my own personal watch. Keep in mind you could get a asian movt santos for less than a 100 bucks I would recommend getting the swiss version though. get a new gen croc strap for 180 ish... correct dial for 45 ish Once you put together these elements you will have one closest reps in the game I realize this project is taking forever but I had no idea how time consuming this would be when I started.

***UPDATE*** After speaking with the maker I have sent another prototype back for a couple more final revisions and should have a finished product by Novemember.

This has been my daily beater and my favorite for a while

pretty cool. Although, this maybe strange my favorite part was the music. I picture myself sitting in dark cherry wood study with my silk robe reading the economist. The sound of a soothing crackling fire eminates through the room- all the while I am drinking some of the finest single malt scotch. ahhhh... good times.

I have done my due diligence with respect to this project and I am following what you had mentioned above. I did not take any money from any members as of yet because I think that would cause more hassles than it's worth for me at this point. I am limiting my supply to this point because when I put out a feeler on all the forums as to who would be interested in a correct santos 100 dial- the response was minimal to say the least. I think only about 12 people really showed any interest. With the help of another member I could have had a 100 dials made but that was just too much money to dump into this project with only 12 people showing interested. I would have been out a substainstial amount of $$$ You did mention something that I need to make sure and look into. That is the issue of the supplier selling the dials at the same time I am selling them. I believe the chance of this is very unlikely but I think should look into it just to cover my a$$. I really like the thank everyone who has helped with this project. I got to say it's has been interesting to say the least but fun and it's not even over yet.

oops... I didn't know you wanted 2 dials. I will have to start a list based on the people who PM'd me and those made thier requests known. I will start a official sign up list soon.

I can add you to my list however, I need to double check with the maker to make sure I can add extra dials to my production run. I know it should be possible with some more $$$ being put into it

dude...it must be getting late :lol: What's going on woody I think subzero was just making mention that the dial it should be printed on should be semi-gloss and no flat white in color. I better go to the cartier AD in the cherry creek mall this weekend to verify.

The "L" to the right and left of the "swiss made" at the bottom is not the version we want to have produced. That is a special edition. I see 11 and 12 roman numberals need to be spaced closer. roman numberal 5 needs to be spaced up against the "made". The word "automatic" needs to be spaced ever so slightly lower. The word "cartier" needs to be strecthed a bit and the font is slightly off but in the original dial project nobody could find the right font so we may have no choice in that respect I just got this sample emailed to me just an hour ago

Just as the title states. I need people to help me quality control this dial before it gets produced. I believe we basically have a good example here but it may require some tweeks. Let me know. Sorry to say but I have had more demand for the dials then I will have in hand. I can try to get some more produced in the final run but don't hold me to that cause it will cost me even more $$$.
