Both Offshores? I would naturally guess chronos since they have more leak points and although I can't remember I assume the AP's do not have a screw down crown - at least my gen RO doesn't. The Chopard is too obvious since you didn't touch that one.
Spring bars is probably the best answer. If you are obsessed with retaining the use of threaded strap pins Ziggy has done some pretty cool stuff using aircraft epoxy to create artificial threads (no idea why the strap holder doesn't get stuck when forming the threads ) and they hold up very well.

Pics look great. I am a VDB fan as well. You can make your life easier by including "New Pics Added" in the title and giving the post a bump.

Great review. Another must have. You have cost me dearly - happily, but dearly. Between the Blacksteel, Deep Sea and this review I am already long two watches more than I expected to be and it could be going to three. As long as I have you here, would all three be the better for a relume.
As S4DK states, they are not generally available. Parts do come up on Ebay or occasionally on Risti or ViaPaneristi. If you are looking for simply one example watch they do come up occasionally on the forums. If you want a steady diet of it you will be on a constant search. Then again, that in and of itself can be fun.
I guess Chris is the first person to receive his. Just to let folks know I shipped out almost everyone who is paid up a couple of days ago so depending on where you are you should be receiving them either this week or early the following.
There is a higher cost version - the gen. Sorry, couldn't resist.
I decided to go for it. If I love it I will start saving my pennies for either v.4 or the gen. Gen could take a while though.
Great thread. I will throw in a few:
FM Conquistador:
Breitling Chrono Avenger:
Falco's 5512:
IWC Cousteau:
Most recent 01B:
Planet Ocean (no longer mine):

As requested. Mille on hornback with the red stitching - another HKtan masterpiece.
You are right that the red lining is what makes the difference though. We do that to my wife's fur coats. No one ever walks off with your fur coat.
