  1. Thank you. It is a gen dial. Brings a smile to my face whenever I look at my wrist.
  2. The range is 5 -20 days. Average for me is 7-10. On the no tracking issue that happens all the time. I have always gotten every package though. Just last week I had one package shipped 5 days after another and got here first. And on the one that came later there never was any tracking status other than the initial entry until it was delivered. It is pretty consistent 4-7 days going the other way though.
  3. Someone will pay it. If you own the original movement rep and add the hands, relume to match, Finepics or Lello datewheel and a better crown and cg combo and you have a very reliable 99% rep of a $6,000 piece for 15% of the cost of a gen.
  4. I wish. But it is nice to see you around.
  5. Not that Ubi isn't a genius but who in their right mind would ever be a politician in the USA. You are underpaid, put under an intense spotlight that can easily ruin you and your family's life and are subject to intense ridicule whether you deserve it or not. With that job description the only people you are going to attract are a.) people who can't make it in the real world; b.) complete meglomaniacs or c:) billionaires who don't care what we think. For God's sake, only in this country would a country try and impeach a guy for having an affair. In any case, I will take the billionaire. Mike Bloomberg for President.
  6. I just received this from Falco and it definitely is a one-of-a-kind and fabulous addition to my small Rolex collection. Many thanks to him. He is an artist. Highlights - Case and CG work, gen dial (stunning), springbars, bezel insert and pearl, crystal, crown and tube. Swiss vaccuum packed version of slow beat ETA 2846 with a first class hollow-link bracelet. The view from afar: Casework: That Gorgeous dial - the sweet smell of tritium? And those wrist shots:
  7. He is not back yet. It is that damn socialized medicine. Still sounds like death.
  8. Ubi, Ubi, Ubi! Hey Pho- Did the meds wear off yet?
  9. I am willing to bet they will figure it out. There are a hell of a lot of Asian movement to choose from when picking the base. The question is which manufacturer distributor will have the nerve to order the required 1,000 minimum for a customized movement. It is too big a profit opportunity and it is a whole new world out there. The question is how long will the movement work.
  10. Belated Happy Birthday. Which one of those guys is you?
  11. Just get it coated by Chieftang. His coating is awesome. I thought it was coated although I don't have one in front of me at the moment.
  12. With a little bit of luck I will see you Wednesday night.
  13. Actually, true horologists do the opposite. You have your dress shirts made with an extra large sleeve so you can wear any size watch and not look like that. I am no horologist (prefer to think of myself as a repologist) but I do highly recommend it. There is nothing funnier than sitting at a business meeting or in a bar and the person across the table from you is trying to get a glance at your watch.
  14. MBW ROO with proper sub-dial placement - priceless Cousteau Divers I do have some fairly cool stuff coming back from various mod excursions though.
  15. Well there is nothing wrong with a a massage from a playboy bunny.... Hey, ubi your face should be turning red but it certainly is well deserved. The best to you and your family. By the way I just happend to be wearing my 6263 as I type this (or is that a 6265/?).
  16. Well I am actually good for 3 from round 1. However, if this works with cyclops (cold process) add another 3 for me so that will bring me up to 6. Decisions, decisions.
  17. Thanks for the kind words. I would love to do lume shots but I know nothing about how to take those pictures. I have wonderful tools Pentax A-20 and Nikon D-80 but I never made it through the instruction booklets. I do have a tripod though. I think there is currently a shirt hanging on it. Seriously, if anyone has one of these cameras tell me what settings.
  18. The Pilot is unquestionably the way to go. At this point anyhow, this one is rapidly disappearing. and Unicorn did this project with a partner and the partner is now sold out. As far as I know t there are only 100 pieces - not a 1,000. And the extra 2-3 mm in case size makes a big difference. I have owned the gen Flieger back in the days and it is too small.
