  1. Kostats- Congrats. Best of luck. Although with seven years behind you I don't think luck is involved.
  2. Alternatively, look at the PAM 231 which is the same Radiomir case in Rose Gold but with flat black dial. That does come in manual Unitas. I believe Perfect Clones has it as do most dealers.
  3. Tommy- True work of art. Nanuq- I see you haven't dropped that one off a cliff yet.
  4. I certainly am with Neil on his most important post in his last few comments. TREMENDOUS THANKS TO THOMAS AND THE MODS for creating an RWG as it should be. RWGI was a dream that turned into a nightmare. For those who want to go back to RWG I - do so. But I think it is kind of irrelevant here. IMHO, there is no competition. This is a competent and well-run site administered by thoughtful and caring group of people. RWG1 is not. In my own case, I see no reason to spend alot of time dwelling on what was a disastrous ending. I am thankful that it allowed me to meet a number of wonderful folks and that somehow most managed to migrate here. But that is where my thoughts end. Cheers to all the great folks who found there way here and made this forum the true RWG. Oh, and would all you guys stop yelling at each other.
  5. Hey Veni- Awesome straps. I love that strapmasters style. May have to wrap one of those around that Dirks/Panerai buckle I picked up. Remember the one on the trashed strap I bought? You want to laugh. When I got the random batch from the seller on ebay the bad news was I got 9 not 10. The good news is it included 3 - Dirks 5218's with custom "op" buckle, nice MP in basic black, the pre-97 Dirks/Panerai, a couple of random and 2 gen rubbers complete with buckle (one buckle and one deployant). I made out like a bandit. And he was apologizing. PM me with the details.
  6. Actually, you have a perfect rep of the Kampschwimmer movement. Way back when, Rolex insisted on taking their name off the bridge when they found out where the watches were going. They wanted nothing to do with it. Strike that comment. They didn't strike the Rolex brand from the movement, they took the PAM barnding name off the dial. After all, what is a watch company to do when you're country switches sides and you are long inventory. Stunning movement. Congratulations.
  7. Yahoo! Beautiful watch. Wear it well. ExWM makes fabulous stuff.
  8. I don't know the answer either but was wondering that as well.
  9. Start with Davidsenjpn if original dealer can't get replacements. He makes quite a few models.
  10. It doesn't even load up for me. And I am certainly unconvinced at this point that anything said is even vaguely credible. But my takeaway from the whole experience is to make sure trusted "grown-ups" are involved and running a well administered site before I invest significant time on any forum. That way there is at least a minimum of checks and balances.
  11. It 's not that I want to run them all the time. I simply expect them to work - rep or gen. No one has ever asked to inspect my watch to see if it is a rep. But on several occasions I have been asked to time something or someone. Fortunately, mine always do work or I am not wearing them. I do check both gens and reps typically whenever I put them on for the first time in a while. I would feel silly if my "chrono" isn't a chrono. And for the record, all of my gen chronos have always functioned fine. Maybe I am just lucky.
  12. Couldn't resist. But you gotta love those cyclops.
  13. Marco- You might want to add an "n" in your post. By the way, both of my GMT's are now beautifully upgraded.
  14. Rob- Thanks much for doing this. Especially as this is coming to you from the deserts of Northern Chile. OLA!
  15. Slay- You are absolutely right. In my case, I hate to ship watches back for fear of losing them unless it is a major problem. In my case the watch was going out for relume anyhow and Ziggy automatically glues the hands for me anyhow when he takes apart a 7750 chrono for any reason. And Ken would be happy to replace if he asked. He did so for someone else. And, in my limited experience, if the only problem with the older generation 7750 is the hands that is a win. Just ask Ziggy about the pile of them he has sitting in his house.
  16. Does it really matter. This place is every bit as good as the "old days" on RWG1. That last few months there was a sh_tshow anyhow. Long live RWG.cc and TRC! ANything else is a waste of time and effort.
  17. We all are. I wouldn't hold your breath. Mine is out being lumed and eliminating recessed cannon pinion. Yours looks like it came without that issue.
  18. I was wondering who was going to go first.
  19. Love it. I have one on the way as well but, of course, not with that beautiful movement. I have found an original movement. Now I just have to get the person to sell it to me.
  20. Quick question- I really like Eddie's version. I noticed that it has a date adjustment (??) on the side. Does the gen? Not to be anal retentive, but I am.
  21. The project is fine. We will be mounting a cyclops on a 2893 GMT and posting pictures.
  22. If there is going to be an issue it will be with the 2893 as it has three settings off the case (wind, set gmt/date, set time). The 7753 uses the quickset date function on the side of the case so it has only two stops (wind, set time).
  23. The watchmen recommend doing nothing until you get your cyclops. With a little bit of luck the results on a 2893 GMTshould be posted soon.
  24. Forget the sale. This loop is crazy.
