  1. The flaw in the logic is that there then is no 24 hour "military scale" on either the dial or the bezel. You would have to memorize exactly where each 24 hour marker would be. Bad idea.
  2. Holy cow! You're doing it again. Well, since you can't wear two at the same time. I am partial to the white. Do you suppose Ebel is going to wonder why there is a sudden surge in the purchase of movements only from non-AD's.
  3. SQL PL- Since you own all three I was curious as to whether one version was more accurate than others as relates to dial, hands and datewheel. That titanium version looks beautiful. I assume there actually was a gen in titanium. The issue with titanium is often the basic color (yes I know it darkens over time). The gens are often lighter in the flesh. Chrono Avenger is a good example. In any case those are beautifu reps - wear them well. Thanks, Kruz
  4. A true gentleman who was one of the core assets at the original RWG both for his reviews and his patience with genuine but stupid questions. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the man who started this loop falls into that same camp as well. No blushing Ubi. To both - In general it is really nice to see the truly good folks reassembling here. We even seem to have jettisoned some of the dregs from the old place.
  5. I just got my 231 and the 217 back from Ziggy. I sent them for a Super Lume and to eliminate the short cannon pinion. They both were the swan neck version. And guess what, neither needed the cannon pinion upgrade. They already had it and required simply shaving down the minute hand minutely (little joke, very little).
  6. If we could ever find enough people who were interested and a good pic of the original datewheel it could make a very interesting project since certain members have found very professional datewheel printers. Does anyone know if the new Bentley's have a good datewheel and if not whether the font is the same? If that is the case then there might well be enough interest to make it a worthwhile project.
  7. It will straight swap with a Swiss 7750. Just make sure you buy one with day and date. The one issue you may need to be careful about is whether you can use the day and date wheels that came on the Asian as I see on that watch that they are red. I did the swap on the chrono avenger and was unable to use the Asian datewheel.
  8. swdivad- You must be right as the factory which made the better case and bezel no longer produces it. I am swapping my Pandas into the old cases.
  9. You have to add the WM/MBW Sea Dwellers. Now you have the list, go fnd them.
  10. But you got to love that 47mm fixed lug radiomir.
  11. If you find out I would love to know as well. Not that it will make you feel better but if you are looking for it to fit into a swiss 7750 the typical stock ETA font is not bad at all relative to the gen. Also Breitling actually varies its font based on the model so it is not like PAM where there is one and only one font.
  12. Until I came to this forum I had thought Tudor's were for folks who could not afford a "real" rolex.
  13. Fabulous buy. I love that model as well and that is far cheaper than I have seen anywhere.
  14. There is no way it should scratch. I was wearing my 4rth gen 1950 and took a tumble on pavement directly scraping the crystal on the road. You would never know it. If it is false advertising get you're money back.
  15. On this one it isn't the lack of weight. The rep weighs more than the gen. By the way this post inspired me to put on the Chrono Avenger today.
  16. No need to respond but I just wanted to warn those who are contemplating swapping Swiss 7750 for Asian 7750. If you are counting on swapping the Asian datewheel (because it is more accurate aesthetically) for the ETA one that comes with the Swiss movement be forewarned that you may not be able to do so. It varies on the watch. On my Breitling Chrono Avenger the movement was easily transplanted but the datewheel from the Asian was not. I was lucky as the ETA font that came on the Swiss movement was actually closer to the correct date font on the Chrono Avenger. The Avenger comes with a Breitling font but it is from a different watch.
  17. Oldecrow- I am in the same situation. Don't panic. I heard from Palp today and PAM is busy with non-forum stuff for a few days.
  18. Apple, orange or banana? Decide what size you want, how much you want to spend and quality you want. Even in reps there is no free lunch.
