  1. If you are going with Asian movement I vote for 212. The small below the dial date drives me nuts. At least the Asian 212 comes with decorated movement and better number font. The white plastic spacer ring drives me nuts. If Swiss 250, if Asian 212.
  2. www.horologicaltreasures.com www.we-be-watches.com/ www.e-watchaccessories.com/ Didn't run through domain checker but they didn't come up when entered.
  3. While waiting for the pics who did you buy the Pre's from?
  4. They look well made. Whenever you get a chance, link please. Although I think I am out of room in the Wojtecki.
  5. I had assumed the gen PAM Power Reserves used a modified soprad movement. That is the type of spare part you might just be able to get. This could require some research. Okay movement experts, what do you think?
  6. Thanks for your nice thoughts. You know you are a grown-up when you wake up on the morning of your birthday and your wife is in one of the children's beds, one of the children is in your bed and the bed is wet. Cheers to all. And Ken, I hadn't thought about it but you are right. What better day to pick a new watch. Now I have important decisions to make today - 7753 250 or 251, IWC GST Chrono (ti) or IWC FA Jones (decorated of course). Decisions, decisions. Of course the availability of a 7753 187 or 194 would be a fabulous present as well.
  7. That "tourbillon" sends shivers up my spine.
  8. I guess that explains why I paid more than double the price. The AR on the watchonpo version is excellent.
  9. Neil has it right. That particular watch should only be worn above a wetsuit. And by the way, Puffy, Jay-Z or Russell Simmons would not wear it on top of a longsleeve shirt. I found myself in the bizarre circumstance of having dinner with two of them about a year ago . And yeah, Jay was wearing one of his AP line underneath a properly sized dress shirt with stunning cufflinks. The diamond AP actually looks pretty good. Subtle as bling goes.
  10. I hadn't seen these pictures and am grateful for the post. Very cool.
  11. Beyond the idiocy involved here on the part of the buyer, what is even more ridiculous is that if you do need to return something and notify Eddie he sends you explicit instructions as to how to send back. I suspect it is stupidity and not conspiracy. IMHO, the manufacturing and shipping of these items is only going to get more difficult. Eddie- Sorry to hear it happened. I do hope that you will, at a minimum, let other dealers with whom you are in contact know who the person is. All the best, Kruz
  12. Very impressive collection and the display looks great. You are either single or have a very understanding wife.
  13. Chris- So sorry to hear this. I wish a quick recovery from whatever you're legal setback is. All the best, Kruzer
  14. Anyone have an opinion as to whether I could swap the movement on the 222 for the ETA 2892 with Soprad module? Do you think the power reserve sections and date locations match up on the dial with the original PAM PR? Also any way to switch running seconds to 9 versus 12?
  15. Not only has the Don spoken. It works.
  16. Very nice post. I would kill for that metal spacer. Watchonp comes with a plastic spacer. It works but not very elegant.
  17. My watchonpo version came with the bezel too tight but it did lines up properly. Mine has already been to Ziggy for subdial hand adjustment and relume and when it came back the bezel was loosened up just enough but still lines up. When he returns in September I will ask whether he did anything to it when he took it apart.
  18. 2 for the Power reserves on my end.
  19. Finepics- I stand corrected. I had assumed you used 7750 configuration because of the date window. Althoug I may be mistaken but I thought the person who had disassembled my 187 said the pusher was usable and if in fact the 7753 version never comes about he is prepared to give the dial redo a try.
  20. gdaddy- Nice to see you back if you are who I think you are.
