  1. Dial looks to be from Yuki. Original Dial of a 6536 should have : 1) Depth on the first line 2) Submariner on second line Case is wrong! Engravings should bear: 1) Brevet with a Cross "+" - no registered design 2) 6536-1 instead of 6536/1 This is a poor copy in my opinion.....spells Bad Fake all over..
  2. Hey kruzer00, For A-Serie Coramid straps, they only come with 1 keeper, of which the material is like the old skool keeper on the Panerai Rubber Conmfort straps. The subsequent Coramids produced, which are the modern ones, come with 2 keepers. and l3x, yours is definitely an OEM...no Fugazi(s) on this particular strap just yet!
  3. I knew that I was looking for a Pepsi, so was my good friend in Hong Kong. Just so happened on 7th January 2010, that both of us were just conversing on MSN about which ones to get. So here I was, 1608 miles away down under, telling him that a collector here had a Radial for sale. He was stoked, as was I. Who don't fancy Rarities such as a Radial 1675? I know I do and Googling for a Radial and sourcing for information ain't the easiest task. After a few phone calls made, the deal was sealed for his 1968 Radial - "small indices away from the minute markers - exact numbers unknown". This was in the morning. During the same night, I chanced upon a 1966 GMT Master in Hong Kong with creamy indices - not too bad looking for a 40+ yr old watch so I snagged it. I did not know it was going to be on the same night but certainly this was the most coincidental acquisition whereby I purchased one in HK, and he purchased his from where I was. Pictured below - a metres first 5513 from 67' and Radial 1675. Thanks for reading, the Radial is indeed a beauty in person...and certainly one variation that I will be hunting down in my vintage questing. Now a 6542 Tropical is calling.....this never ends, does it?
  4. beautiful Prevendome...a 202A Ziggified with the works! About time this beauty rose up to the freshness of 2010!
  5. Never ceasing to amaze with the delights of such beautiful dials! and the work of Master Z! Churning out a rarity on its own flavour....Belissimo!
  6. I am down for a bunch! Thanks!!
  7. Goodness Gracious Great Balls of Militare FIRE~!!!!! Beautiful Vintage, and a 4-Liner at that....I love it...very distinctive to the core of Panerai imo.
  8. Beautiful acquisitions Kai! I was scoping on that exact particular 16750 you now possess --- congrats! From a local seller right? I hope you got a good price! So what's next on the list? Plexi-madness spreading across 44mm lovers....coming back down to 40mm does feel really good, in fact I am stuck in this zone for a while now. Gotta love the Snowflakes....especially with Ubi's and Lanikai's impeccable-not to mention-moving-pictures right from the start!
  9. Vintagelicals Christmas'ing to the 1950s, Nine to be exact....Merry Christmas everyone!
  10. Still dwelling in the 40mm region....about time Tudors came back for the upcoming Snowy holidays...
  11. Definitely a keeper in my books! Lovely gloss-glit dial you got there! From the bare[-naked eye without looking too much into the refined intricacies, your GMT 1675 can borrow my wrist anyday and time.
  12. With Freddy taking on Yukiwatch's 7206 Rivetted Bracelet months ago, it seems like this offering is closest to genuine without spending up to 8-10x the money.....with the exception of the endlinks not taking Genuine 2mm springbars. Well, as I was surfing yesterday for some substitutes, here I stumbled upon a website in which Yukiwatch is affiliated to. Taking Yukiwatch's website pricing of the 20mm - 7206 Rivetted Bracelet at USD $ 148, and comparing to this one at USD $ 108 --- this is indeed a significant difference. Here's the website: http://www.usfreeads.com/521964_adsbyuser.html Interesting enough, on this website --- these are the NOTABLE items not priced accordingly or listed on Yukiwatch's main website: 1) Standalone 6542 Bakelite Insert at USD $ 185 (Only whole bezel set on Yuki's main) 2) 5513 Caseset with Crown at USD $ 430 (price not listed on Yuki's main) 3) 1680 Caseset with Crown at USD $ 430 (price not listed on Yuki's main) 4) 20mm Rivetted Bracelet at USD $ 108 (price on Yuki's main is USD $ 148 and on eBay at USD $ 158) Going shopping for parts, take this opportunity while it lasts.....and For what it's worth, RWG is hotlinked on Yuki's website.... Is this an early Christmas discovery? or perhaps some of you might have known about this earlier....just definitely maybe... Have fun with the savings!!
  13. Revolutionary Eye-catching PVD Prevendome beating to the rhythm of the Hawaiian Sun! This 202A just about marks the realization of every Panerai enthusiast's beating hearts, hands down - no doubt about it. The Zigmeister's PVD + work is impeccable to say the least, and I am definitely signing up for his next run, as FGD has graced this last quarter of 2009 with his new Pre-V releases. It's a shame my Ziggified 202A is Safe Queen'ed at the moment as I am catching on the Rolex/Tudor fever....Lani, your pictorials + jaw-locking captures just about rekindled my Initial PreV Love! About time we get those 44mm's on the wrist in the coming days! Lovely, lovely....what a beautiful day!
  14. Longing + Pre V Atmosphericals is the definitive moment! Extended thanks for the Pre V initiatives Warren Put me down for a dozen cases, cg's and whatever completes these dreamscapes.
  15. What a beautiful story redwatch! I am really happy for you on completing this Snowflake project The patina on the indices and hand set is impeccable. Really love the tone! Your aged Insert is really amazing with a greenish-hue to it! Hard to accomplish I must say. Did you purchase this insert that way? Lovin' it and wear your Snowflake in great spirits and health. Greetz!
  16. Amazing sharp eye there Justasgood!!
  17. What a beautiful 5513 and a rarity in its class, JoJo!! Here's my observations: 1) "Underline" below Oyster Perpetual 2) Pointed Crown Guard (PCG) 3) Glit Dial 4) Glit Hands 5) Rare "SIWSS" at 6 o'clock Year 1963 Rivetted Swiss Bracelet 7206 with 80s endlinks. Definitely one for keeps my friend!! Amazing example!!
  18. Still keeping this DRSD close to the wrist bones...
  19. Congrats Lani! I can't wait to start on the new Prevendome projects myself. Those new dials from FGD (Simon) are impeccable I must say! Now, as to hunting down the correctly-shaped cases - that in itself is a challenge for the upcoming year. Can't wait to see those in actionary wristos pictorials!

  21. Lani, thanks for the update on your Yuki insert. It's really coming out nicely! Can't wait to see the final outcome. 2 months back, I started aging a gen 5513 insert under direct sunlight (12 hours/day), and it turned out more Bluish than the Faded Grey which I hope to achieved.
  22. Seriously? Are you really wanting to achieve this effect?? My concoction consists of: A Cup with 50% Bleach + 50% Water (H2O) + 1 teaspoon of salt I felt that mine was way too light, and the whole chemical reaction just escalated once I poured a tat of boiling water into the cup. I had 2 MBW Inserts turned all chocolate brown before fading/corroding to a total metallic finish till the numerals were invisible (before I can fish them out fast enough) Will order Clark's inserts and try out liquid chlorine --- kbh's effect is what I hope I can achieve too. Here's another pic under natural light....I still feel that the metallic look is too faded....perhaps, I am not used to it... Some quick-dirty freshly taken pics with flash: Now if you look at the insert below, the numerals on the insert actually was invisible. What I did was get some Blue Nail Polish and applied on the whole insert. After it dried, I used Nail Polish Remover - Acetone and slowly work on the insert, leaving some baby-bluish paint on the numbers. This just happened out of curiosity, and last I remembered was that Project-X Rolex was actually offering a similar Sub or Explorer with such similar bluish colour.
  23. Hey Lani, I really like how your colouration turned out on the bezels. Wanting to experiment and came across Ubi's post from years back on his trials with concoction with Bleach + Salt. Needless to say, the Bleach I had on hand was too strong it stripped off the black paint and silver indices on many of my bezels. Here's my overly-done, not really what I was wanting to achieve Silverish Metallic effect --- last usable one on my MDub DRSD. Was wanting to order from Wholesaleoutlet but they ain't shipping to Asia regions....bummer.
