  1. Don't know if this has been posted before, but I hope this tip helps. Meguiar's Cleaner Wax not only removes light to medium scratches but leaves it crystal (pun intended) clear. Just rub hard in a smooth motion checking it from time to time. BEFORE AFTER
  2. No, I don't have that website. This is my HG watch, wasn't able to get a gen as they were all gone. I had wanted to add it with my EOD to finish the "Arnie" set. Could you send it to me please?
  3. This is a complete lot, all items for the bid. Thanks Victoria.
  4. That's a Swiss Army Centinel Model 24562
  5. First, I wouldn't say DOWN the chain. I judge collecting by the "Community" and this one is tops in my book. I have to say I'm impressed by the the contributors as well as the Mods. Thanks to all for all the help and I can only hope to someday contribute as well.
  6. ANy idea who would be the best candidate to take on a job like reping this baby? Are there any makers who do 1 of custom jobs?
  7. What, this dial? I actually remembered the dial and found the strap looking for it. I had thought of selling the dial to fund a large Rep Pam buy .... but I'm not sure now.
  8. I thought it went with a watch I sold a few years ago, and yes ....... it goes GREAT with a white dial. BTW, I also found a PAM0010 A series T dial in the same box. Ummmmmmmmm
  9. So here I am, looking through some old parts/strap boxes I found and WOW, look what I found. I remember buying this from Simona at Panerai Boutique in Florence. I must have put it away and forgotten about it. Green croco original Pre-V. I believe only 50 or so of these were produced....what a rare find. Enjoy the pics.
  10. Agreed V, great looker .... but $1100, bit over priced I's say.
  11. These were once a staple for any Panerai collector, but they are now no more. You don't see marked buckles and straps anymore, what a loss.
  12. I believe the Scotch-Brite pad may work on a good plating. I may try it wet to reduce the friction.
  13. I want to find the BEST T3 available, can anyone help. Info and scans would help alot ..... who's got 'em?
  14. As I've said in the past, I'm a freakin' nut. I've changed collections many times in the last few years. I started with Rolex (my original 5513 is the only that remains) and moved to Panerai in late '99. I've also had sub-collections, like when I went daft for chronos then later for two-register chronos. Now, it's movie watches. I have several in my collection and want to add more, it's a cool subject when I open my watch cases. Here's what I have (or will shortly have), what would you add to make my collection better? Daylight (5218-201/A) Avenging Angelo (PAM0127) Eraser/Driven/John Rambo (5218-202/A) rep End Of Days (AP EOD Chrono) Transporter 2 (PAM0196) Cliffhanger/Broken Arrow (Breitling Aerospace) The Specialist (Franchi Menotti Sciabecco) Minority Report (Omega X-33) Shooter (Suunto Vector) Bourne Identity (Tag Link Chrono and Swatch Irony Scuba 200 "Sine Curve") I Am Legend (Swiss Army ST 4000) Mission Impossible 3 (Casio G-Shock) Miami Vice (Vacheron Constantine Maltese Chrono) Goldfinger (Rolex Submariner) Golden Eye (Omega SMP, auto for 007 and quartz for 006) WOULD LIKE TO ADD: AP T3 (T3), AP XX Chrono (The Sixth Day), Hamilton Twilight (I Am Legend), and a Breitling Top Time (Thunderball).
  15. I have several Panerai related items I will donate for auction. Let's see what we can do for the community. Let's start the bidding at $25 and say it ends on Sunday 3/23 @ 9PM EST. Shipping is on me to anywhere in the world! 1 2006 unused agenda (may have an '05 if your prefer) 1 Pre-Vendome Logo decal (choice blue or white) 2 Panerai dealer newsletters 1 set OEM tubes
  16. Please let me know if you or anyone you know is willing to part with their watch. I have several (just some listed below) interesting trades available. A cash deal will also be fine, let's make a deal. FOR SALE/TRADE: Panerai Ferrari FER0001/A. Breitling Bentley Motors SS on bracelet and OEM brown croc deployant silver dial. Omega Speedy '57 Reissue on bracelet. Breitling Aerospace blue dial, Ti bracelet, OEM calf strap, and OEM blue rubber strap. Omega Dynamic Targa Florio LE Prototype Salesman Sample, different from regular issue. Tag Heuer Targa Florio with black and brown OEM straps.
  17. I use the gray side of the gray/pink school type eraser.
  18. In the movie Arnold Schwarzenegger plays an ex-military now private helicopter pilot, so AP did this classic look on an updated Jules Audemars platform. The dial is OD green with black subs and also included was an extra white dial with black subs to change later if so inclined. I really like the propeller motif hands, super cool.
  19. LOL, actually I didn't edit the $1.50, it was a word I missed. BTW, it works really well. I showed someone who took his watch from a 75% to a 90+% with about an hours work.
  20. I've been in love with "The Sixth Day" watch for quite some time now. It's actually the perfect watch for me. It's a BIG, Arnold, movie, two register chrono that fits all my watch fetishes. Gen are waaaaaaaay out there when you find one and I don't know if any rep makers have them. I wonder if we pooling together could get someone to make a run on the XX. Any ideas and or interest in this model?
  21. Well, it's quite simple really. Start with a trip to your local supermarket's cleaning isle and buy Scotch-Brite pads (about $1.50 for a 2 pack). Now, walk over to stationary and buy a pencil/pen eraser (about$.50). Moving in one direction and using light, smooth strokes go over the case and lugs .... the color will lighten a bit but will go back in a day or so. Be sure no to touch the bezel with the pad ..... that's what the eraser is for. Using the pen side go around the bezel with even circular strokes. This also works for satin steel models and for giving your polished CG that Pre-Vendome brushed look. I started showing this a few years ago at a gathering I hosted. Sorry if this has been posted before.
  22. Hey, I knew what I was getting into and I have to say it's really great here. This reminds me of how things were in the past with the Panerai community. Yes, the "this just in" was a joke. I hope to be able to contribute here, but I'm still learning for now. BTW, thanks to all for the well wishes, the emails have been great!
  23. SUUUUUUUUUUUUUPER HOT!!!! I can see we'll be having coffee sooner than I thought.
  24. Yes, they are very different, even the case back tools differ in that the auto is deeper. Auto movements are thinker than HWs and movement screws don't line up and are different sizes. Let's not forget the date window on the crystal.
