  6. Excellent reply D.... I think that sums it all
  7. I agree my friend.. Also the polished/brushed surface makes it very interesting as well. Dial is quite boring but the bracelet and case is very very nice.. Thanks a lot. Yeap we enjoyed out time in Greece very very much indeed
  8. No problem for me either.. The weekends 16-17 and 23-24 will be nice dates... Let see how many people can make it and then we decide all together the place and day.
  9. The story goes like that.. We got many presents (usually gold stuff) for our child's birth when we went to Greece most of them from a specific store.. Of course they are useless and very expensive so we decided to change them and get something for us This store had watches of mid-range like Tags - Omegas etc.. Unfotunately no Pams or IWCs or i would have got one for myself... I am really interested for a gen IWC or maybe a second Pam lately so getting a Planet Ocean or a mens Aquaracer wouldn't do it for me.. A new watch that I don't really like would ruin my intentions to get the one I really want. Instead my wife has seen a Tag she liked a lot for everyday watch so she got it and I got a nice excuse to get a second gen sometime later this year. I don't know if the price was good (probably not).. the watch was 1100 euros but we had 700 euros credit and we only paid 400 euros for it from our pocket. It is the new model in 35mm medium size and Quartz because my wife hates Automatics.. She doesn't bother change the time and date and with her Chanel she always comes to me asking to change them. So it had to be a Quartz. When our son grows older he can have that watch instead of all the useless golden charms he got.. If my wife has it in decent condition until then. Here are the photos... any comments are welcome BTW I LOVE the caseback..
  10. They were taken to my mothers village were I have a house.. It is caled Agios Konstantinos and it is close to the more known Kammena Bourla around 160 km north of Athens.... This my friend is an ugly insect called 'cicada'.. Searched for the translation on the dictionary.. Here is the link of what it is in Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cicada It is found in places when it is only hot (in Greece only the summer) and it makes a very distinctive noise.. When they are hundreds around you in just a mile sometimes you cannot sleep the afternoons from the noise. Check the Cicada song on wikipedia...
  11. Yeap.. I noticed that because I was always checking from greece bbc weather.. Sun has made our transition quite pleasant
  12. Yeap.. no problem being a newb.. As you said it will be nice to meet other replica-heads
  13. Sorry about that Dani.. but why also sell the gens? I know you have some very interesting pieces there
  14. I decided to do a new post from the one b16a2 did only because the topic is more clear of the GTG. For the date mid August is ok? Places I can suggest some in Derby or Nottingham... I have talked with some members on the phoen and if we go forward with this they will definately come but let see the general interest here

  18. Excellent news Rob... so lets hope for a quicker than expected recovery
  19. Of course not.. So here are some non-watch related photos of the beach I was going, a nice sunset while drinking coffee and of course at the end Greece's summer soundtrack
  20. I just had some time to organise and upload some photos I took this summer in Greece of my 112... This summer at the beach, pool and for diving I was wearing it with DON's carbon fiber. Perfect waterproof strap and very cheap for the quality...
  21. It indeed looks pretty bad my friend.. I wish you as well speedy recovery and with the minimum pain you can have..
  22. Just a heads-up that a fellow member (not me so please do not pm me) has already started producing them and he will get them the next few weeks in his hands. So there will be competition and I am not so sure if you will be able to sell 500 that easily as they say.
