I for one I am not gonna judge you.. No one is a saint, so no reason to try and find alternative 'bad things' we wear. (either diamonds, or clothes made in bangladesh by 10 y.o. etc etc). We all do it. If you feel comfortable wearing an elephant strap good for you. I personally don't. But since it is a controversial subject and you asked our open opinion here in the forum do not expect everyone to endorse it.

I agree on this one with Dani.. More than 300+ straps have passed through my hands and none of them was exotic. You can have a nice dicverse and fullfiling collection without killing poor animals. Nevertheless nice looking strap indeed.

Very nice strap S... I am thinking of getting one myself.. Are you sure this is the honey? It looks more like the brown to me.. I am between brown and honey myself.. Haven't decided yet. But I have to sell a strap first to get a new one because lately I spent A LOT on straps

If you have a good relationship with your AD and you bought your watch from there you can order gen parts even today

Congrats.. my son is now almost 1 month old.. how fast time passes.. Btw I am awake now at 2:10 a.m because he is awake and i changed him and his mum is now feeding him

Thanks D. Nope.. the first one is a Limited Edition Vintage leather from the 50's she has. Only special orders but it might be probably finished by now. It is not on her website and sold openly.

First I got two Simonas.. THe first one is one of the 3 best straps I owned and I am sure will remain like that for a long time. Great Vintage look feel and smell and very nice craftmanship although machine stitched but accurate with the vintage straps (which were also machine stitched). The holes have been opened by me so they are perfectly aligned and vintage styled. Very expensive strap but haven't regreted getting it. I've put a nice polished Wojtecki buckle in the place of the brushed Simona one. Next one is a Vacheta Anticata got brand new from Simona. Long story but the vintage strap had a problem with the buckle - it was sewn-in upside down (which I fixed being a strapmaker) and Simona offered me that one for free as compensation. THAT is customer service Nice strap to have but nothing extremely special to be honest for all the hype around it. Finally I got a used Strapmasters MMV in XXL length X stitched with the controversial (genuine?) GPF Mod Dep buckle. I really love this strap.. It is quite thin to be honest but the way it wraps around the wrist and with that tail makes it quite special. Plus the nice buckle. Got it cheap as well so that's a bonus if you consider that this strap couple of months ago was selling for 500$.

The only 24mm buckles Panerai has are sewn-in.

Probably the whole of July I will be in Greece sunbathing and hunting for new leathers. I would love to attend if it was August

Nope.. don't be confused.. I double checked (because this was my watch and I was ready to PVD it) and all the photos of the 26 (more than 40) I have in my database have the pin PVD.

Dont feel bad.. for every rep i had in the past my wife has now a genuine designer bag. She doesn't wear them all the same day is she? I have around 50 straps for one watch. i don't wear them all at the same time but neither she is So as people have said everyone has their passions let yours be watches.

Yeap .. the 008 is one of the few 1:1 watches out there indistinguishable from the gen.
