  1. You are welcome.. I have put some tiem and efort on these videos BUT still that doesn't make the process of changing the strap on a rad easier
  2. Thanks guys for your kind words and wishes... I have renovated a house in Greece but haven't put any personal work because I was working. Now the challenge is bigger first because I am in a foreign country without a full perception of the system, and second because since I am not working I will put a lot of personal work and being a perfectionist is a small obstacle
  3. I know I know.. if someone will promess me that my 112 will be 100x times more valuable in 20 years (the more beat up the better) than I may start wearing it.. Although I don't now how many days it will survive with the 'wallpaper removal' steam.. My house is like a hammam with all the bloody wallpaper I have to strip ANyways.. thanks for the good words Warren.. I need the luck because the house is old and I plan to do most of the renovation myself
  4. Well a surprise here.. I have bought a new house and I am about 10-12 hours a day working on site.. So I wear my old Swatch skin because it is extra light and i don't care if I ruin it.. I usually wear it at the gym but now it has a more important mission... I wouldn't even thought of wearing a Panerai on a construction site Plus I wanted to tell you that I do not have much time now to browse RWG so you will miss my strap photography I will visit though every day and reply to PMs
  5. Rep.. both front and back.. Niiiiice movement
  6. Scary.. Crickets/grasshopers locusts and all the other names they have, those disgusting insects are my worst fear.. I wouldn't touch this thing even if you gave me a genuine Panerai for free. I hate them.. Especially the green ones Btw. I am wearing my Ferrari 008 today with the OEM Panerai 233 strap.
  7. Today I made the last strap for a customer.. So please do not send me any more PMs about this hide because I do not have it anymore.. If I will find another affortable piece of this hide mid-August that I will go to Greece, I will offer it again September.. If I won't find more, then the ones who bought it are the lucky ones Thanks to everyone who bought this strap
  8. It is sad what happened to you but with dropshippers you are gambling and even if you begged him on your knees it wouldn't have changed anything... So either you decide to go with a dropshipper with a good after-market reputation or buy from people who inspect the watches. I personally do the first because I have good relationships with many dealers and I know they will do good if a mistake happens.
  9. Of course I know there was no offence intended but as fitmic said it just sound wrong in the same sentence Belgium with the Nato headquarters and commies Btw it is a great movie and I am sure you will love it
  10. Nope.. nothing special.. Here in UK the premiere in Cineworld cinemas was 25th of July Link here: http://www.cineworld.co.uk/cinematheque/Ci...eque.jgi?#ancre and yes.. Belgium and 'commies'?
  11. I thought the same thing but seeing it in a huge screen with the clear colours and the sound is another experience.. You will love it
  12. As a big fan of the Simpsons I went today at the premiere of the movie... Although I was a bit dissapointed that they released all their greatest jokes on the trailers I have to say that I really enjoyed it and have great fun.. Simpsons is best things US has ever exported
  13. It is my XaMas X stitched hommage.. WIth Italian leather from the 50's and a polished XaMas buckle
  14. I had the last 18 months the SLVR and I was very happy with it.. and I just bought the MOTORIZR: In Greece and here in Uk with my Greek SIM I also have this for the last 3 years:
  15. I don't know about the quality (although I NEVER had any problem with my and my wife's last 4 Motorola) but they are WAYYYY better in design and looks..
  16. Me too, I do not understand why they do that.. Seems extremely stupid to cover the leather unless they wanted to make the strap waterproof.. Anyways.. as you said the original colour is crap too.. It is funny to distress it, but I personally sold mine immidiately on ebay.
  17. Well you can keep it away from the sun and water and do not use leather grease or conditioner very often to it... Then it will stay in his natural colour for a bigger period of time.. Although I do believe that darker will be better.. That's why I treat mine very often with leather grease because the SUN in UK is nowhere to be found I personally prefer french but either one will do just fine
  18. THis is the WORST rep strap that has ever been to a rep watch.. even the faux gator ones are better than this.. It is probably 99% made by plastic.. there is definately no sign of 'leather' in this strap
  19. Thanks my friend... to be honest even if I sound biased I thought so as well, but there are forces in the RWG universe stronger than me The most dissapointing thing is that at the end, this month winner (I think By-Tor?), sold his watch because he was not into Panerai while the prize was a Panerai 212 Anyways, here is the link: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=12868&hl=
  20. It is also on the assembly and dissembly videos I have posted last year.. CHeck them here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=0P3JN6RU8AU
  21. Simon had this link in his original post... I think this is a webpage most of the serious collectors have learned by heart now
  22. Yes Chris you are right.. that is the ONLY way to achieve a painted lume effect close to the OEM.. or hand engrave the indexes and then fill them with lume.. but that requires a week work for each dial
  23. Well that's a thought.. We have to convince thought a maker to do it.. And not Davidsen.. because he will get it right (IF) after 10 runs
