I was always saying that they are too thick and close to the case and with bad inside bevel that you should trim the lever... And for the price and trouble to get them...

Yes mine has a sewn-in buckle as well... It seems it is a bit of better quality but not miles away...

Excellent Warren.. Although I am sure that the crowns will NOT fit without modifications from The Zigmeister or someone else.. I tried to fit it and I couldn't. The case tube is too small on the reps (and too big on Jimmys) so something must be done about this issue. Plus the Manual 6497 will need a stem adapter from 1,9 to 2,1mm.. Don't know how much it costs and how easy is to get them. Anyways I will leave the technical part to master The Zigmeister's post after this weekend. Again you must make clear to people and they must understand that it will not be a simple swap and they will have to send their watch to someone if they cannot do it themselves. Nothing wrong about this (I did it) but it is an extra cost they have to consider Busy days for the mod guys i forsee...

Warren you cannot have an answer to this question.. Unless you agree with Paul's moto: 'All Reps Are Same' It depends on the cg.. It has worked to some cgs and it hasn't to others...

Well I got a rare A series coramid velcro panerai strap for my 112 (since the summer approaches and i dont like the rubber that much). It is not the crappy newer version (which i had couple of months ago) made from rubber and very very uncomfortable.. This is the A/B series made by Hirsch and it is so comfortable .. miles better than the newer. And this is a carbon fiber from DON for my Ferrari.. Will keep it as it is for a while and then I will re-thread it with yellow stitching when i will get bored of it. This photo is a comparison of 3 'so called' carbon fibers.. The Panerai is Identical material as the DON which is very cool and the glowing lady in the back is the rep strap that came with the 212. Same glossy crappy material though is used by many other aftermarket strap dealers (almost all of them) but DON's new version is the one closest to the genuine.

Yes you are right. they are much more recessed than the palps.. the existing levers will be useless.

Why you think it might NOT work for the 6497? I thought with the right stem it can work to most pam reps.. If your concern is about the cases.. I have a Jimmy Fu case and a Joshua rep case at The Zigmeister.. If my crown doesn't fit in the jimmy then he will try in the manual joshua case... Patience.. a couple of days more and we will know.

Gen or not gen they are MILES better then the 'so called' perfect palp crowns... Anyways.. the crowns are gen from what I know and having a 1000% genuine crown on my hands (from a reliable source)
