i would not use a spacer under the dwo for the tc case.there is enough room between the dial,copper spacer ring and the movement.............the dwo spacer might be cuasing the dw to bind.....

so close..it scares the s**t out of me.....

I am getting ready to disassemble my TC Sub to remove the rehaut engraving.I have popped off the bezel, bezel insert,washer and spring but I have not removed the bezel retaining ring yet. I need to remove this next so I can get the crystal and crystal nylon washer out to allow me adequate access to remove the rehaut engraving. What tool would I use to remove the retaing ring without destroying anything?

i had no issues whatsoever.....this was on a v series case.....

play around with a bit....you will get it to line up.....use a very, very slow setting glue.....a slow set gel type model making glue is good.Use a 5x loupe to get a good look.and click through the numbers.You may have to push the date overlay out or up and down a little.Another thing you will have to do is push the dial up/down in or out a bit as well......once you have everything aligned you can tighten down the clasps on the dial feet...not oo tight though.....may stillneed a little more adjusting..Check the alignment again by cycling through the numbers.....take your time...you can also make micro adjustments by pushing the edge of the dial, as it is attached to the movement, against a straight edge .......once you got it tighen the dial feet clasps and recheck......to make sure your good...

that's his aleas........he ain't no dummy.......trust me......he's a smarty pants.....he knows exactly what he's doing.No worries. maybe you can tell him to hurry it up...i'm getting tired of reshaping endlinks.

r u sure the crystal is gen? you should be able to install the nylon gasket and crystal by hand. The retaining ring has to be pressed on.It is not easy to do and it probably won't go on easy.One side of the ring will go down first slowly.You will have to continue to rotate the case while slowly pressing down the retaining ring. They are a realbugger to install...go slow and take your time.

i owned a y serial flat top s and sold it. been looking for another.....i think they are pretty rare with this dial?

file the insert...i had the same problem and bent the insert and bezel....I got it in 90%...I should have filed it a little bit and tried a bit at a time.....now i'm waiting on TC to see if he can source me a spare or two from his supplier....You just have to go slow and take your time........my bezel may have been a tad small or my insert may have been a tad too big.Hold the insert on it's side and make 5-6 forward and backward motions,gently on some fine sandpaper 220 grit or higher and slowly work your way around bweteen the ten minute markers.After going around once, try installig the insert again.....it should fit ...if not file a little more...remember...TAKE YOU TIME!It will be alot of fun!

Hmmm..... but will a v23 or v72 fit into a DW case made to house a A7760 with the slimmer V72 caseback?
