  1. Asian 7750 is not a time bomb... the modified 7750 of daytonas and portugeses is a timebomb. Francisco.
  2. Probably they are different versions... a hole is missing... spray? photoshop!!!
  3. Thanks Fido! However, both movementes..your picture and Barrichelo, as you point, are not exactly the same: I find some differences: 1.- the cotes of the plate. 2.- the color of the central gear. 3.- one hole close to the date window Francisco
  4. This is the watch we need to make the plate mod.... Francisco
  5. waiting for my new Omega watch.... Francisco
  6. some points: 1.- I will never drill a hole in the second plate. it is too risky and you can distrub the nomal motion of the silver gear. 2.- Bosk... "MO, the plate's only function is a spacer for the cyclops...given how deep the gen date window is, the factories had to do something." Porbably you are right... the plate is there for something.. but when i reviewed the movement i was looking for a mechanical function... and i could not find it...so you approach may be correct.. 3.- I can try the decal approach... however... I need the rep... and i am not going to buy it for myself... and very good pictures are needed. The problem is that later you will have a look to the decals with a loupe or, here, with a macro shot and you will begin to complain...it is not perfect... look that point there... Francisco.
  7. I have found that there are some watchmaker tools at dealextreme.com. Prices are not so low
  8. I think there is no problem.... does anybody see any problem in drilling this plate? Francisco
  9. I am sure there is no problem to put a opaque decal there... for example, see my tuto about the Spanish flag on a HBB: http://www.rwg.cc/members/Spanish-flag-FEF-Hublo-t89270.html You can print on the decal what you want..however...do we have good pictures of the gen? will it look good enough? it is just a decal... A picture of the gen follows: Francisco.
  10. I am here I think you can help me to decide if it is possible or not. This is a summary of my review of the AP seconds at 12 movement: http://www.rwg.cc/members/Close-Inspection-Mecha-t78001.html SUMMARY: Hands are dial are removed: A first very thin plate appears. It is not screwed, only fastened by the pins of the dial. I cannot find the function of this plate. OK. SO WE CAN DRILL THIS PLATE We remove it and a second plate appears. THE PROBLEM BEGINS HERE... IF YOU MAKE A HOLE...YOU HAVE TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE JEWELS.. THE PINS/BUTTONS THAT FASTEN THE GEARS.. THE TWO CENTRAL SCREWS... Five screws have to be removed, 2 central and 3 external. Second plate is removed. BE CAREFUL WITH THE SILVER GEAR. IT IS THE MOTION OF THE SECONDS AT 12 OF THE WATCH. IF THERE IS ANY PROBLEM THERE THE WATHC WILL STOP... AND THIS IS THE WORST PART IN THE MOD..(read my review for more details) So..I think it is not possible..well everything is possible..but so difficult. Francisco.
  11. Please, have a look to Andres
  12. And a picture of the genuine back for comparison: Francisco.
  13. I have had the chance of comparing the two available versions of the Oris Carlos Coste rep. The only differences that I have found are: 1.- The 3 and 9 indexes are longer in the new version. 2.- The more depth engraving of the
  14. I have just bought one of these news Omega chronos. i will review the movement soon. Francisco.
  15. Because the modifed movement is different...some plates over the movement...nothing to see. However. I can make a decal showing gears... not very good...but better...
  16. Do you mean this? Francisco
  17. Yes... Ebay is a place, or just send me a pm Francisco
  18. We have the chance of buying sterile Panerai watches. These watches are like some Paneari models, without any brand or text. Therefore, these watches are very similar to our reps. This tuto shows how to customize these watches, Concretely, I have customized two watches. One for a woman, Belma (IsaBEL MAria) and another one for a man (Andr
  19. No really. The strength of whatever glue depends on the surface area of contact. The area here is so small... Francisco.
  20. Hey! I was looking for this reference! Thanks! Francisco.
  21. It is the first time I have heard that problem! The 7750 movement is so complicated... Sorry, I cannot imagine what is going on without having a look... Francisco.
  22. sorry friend.... I am working as fast I can Francisco.
  23. As you know, the Asian 7750 movement is a copy of the ETA 7750. The Chinese factories have copied all the pieces of the Swiss 7750. However, some pieces are different, some are still compatible, some not, or need modification. These differences are some times visible in the functioning of the Asian 7750. One of the differences in some movements (there are several factories) is that the minute counter increments one minute before than the Swiss movement. Next video shows the problem. Please check that minute counter moves before the seconds hand reaches the 12 position.
  24. Pv007, The Zigmeister has answered your questions very precisely. And thanks for your comments and pictures! Francisco.
  25. The problem we are going to repair seems to be quite common in the A7750 movement. As the video shows, when you manually wind the movement, the rotor spins:
