  1. I am waiting for review the new movement. Do not be optimistic. The new movement for the Daytona is the same junk: http://www.rwg.cc/members/Review-29j-Daytona-Mov-t89999.html Francisco
  2. it is almost a fake video... the most difficults steps are not made .... the chrono cannot work!! Francisco.
  3. My God. This is a dream.... If finally you receive something that works..I am here to review it Francisco.
  4. I would buy it if the rotor was better. I cannot mod it... too wrong. Francisco.
  5. Good. Have you said him that the rotor is very off? That's more important, IMO. Francisco.
  6. I reviewed the movement here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=78001 Francisco.
  7. Sirs...the back is terrible. Gold versions have a rotor with different shape and gold painted. The factory is using the same rotor that the steel versions have. I am so dissapointed!!! Francisco
  8. I am still waiting for a replacement of a watch. 3 months waiting. A mod is strying to help me. Just run away!
  9. It is in its way from China to Europe, then it will be forwarded to me. Francisco.
  10. Ok. I understand your position. I recognize my words were hard. I have contacted Josh and he permits me to send the watch back if I want. He did not give the option about replacement the movement or possible change of model. Therefore, I assume that this is the movement "new improved 29j" as it is written in the description shown before. No hope. that's all. I received a very new Portuguese some days ago. I opened it and I found that the movemennt was the same, like old models. I did not post the results, because there was a chance that this is not the Portuguese that Josh is selling. A small chance... but enough for me to not publish the results. Now another Portuguese, this time bought from Josh will be sent to me. And it can be proved that comes from Josh and advertized as 29j movement. I will publish the results here. Hopefully this time the review will show a better movement. If not, there will be no doubt, as I think there is no doubt here. Hopefully I am wrong... hopefully you are right. Regards, Francisco.
  11. Yes, my words seem too hard. But I am a bit tired of possible improvements, possible new models, perhaps the other models.... Facts, please. Francisco.
  12. This watch is sold saying that has the new movement. I really do not believe that other models have a better movement. Josh specifically told me that old stock of this model was sold out. This is a picture of what I bought. And now you are saying that perhaps other models have the new movement. OK. So you, as a dealer, open a watch, and show us the movement Do something for the forum. Not just giving here some useless hopes. Sorry, friend, but I do not want to be scammed again. Now it is your turn, open another Daytona for us. And do not worry, I am going to analyze the Portuguese of a member. Francisco.
  13. All the modification is dry and is better dry than oiled. A friend of mine, the owner of the "old" movement shown in the pictures, tried oil lubrication, different oils, with no success. Oil sticks the gearss over the surface. Francisco.
  14. Yes, you are right. In another forum a member has a second hand Daytona, bought before the new advertaisement, and has the same gears. Therefore, this movement is not new. Francisco.
  15. Again. Joshua says Portuguese and Daytona have the same number of jewels, 29. Just chek his webpage. Therefore: Two only options: 1.- Portuguese has many jewels added for the seconds transfer, therefore, it is a very reliable movement. 2.- New Portuguese has skeleton gears like new Daytona, and has not 29j. What do you think? Waiting for a Portuguese. Francisco.
  16. This text is taken FROM PORTUGUESE DESCRIPTION: Asian 7750 Valjoux Working Chronograph movement, 28800 bph, New Improved 29J Version The additional jewels are not in the seconds transfer in the Daytona model. Well, only one in the seconds output. Therefore... has the Portuguese more jewels for the seconds transfer? Because there is no minute and hour transfer in the Portuguese. So following the description ...the Portuguese has additonal jewels for the seconds transfer. 4 jewels. Therefore, the Portuguese is a very good movement I will receive one Portuguese to be analyzed. Francisco.
  17. No, Joshua told me before shipping that old stock was sold out. There are some problem with the pictures...too much bandwith... I will solve it today. Francisco.
  18. Joshua told me that old stock was sold out. i have the email. He promised me that I will receive the new movement. Francisco.
  19. Yes, no problem. The problem is that I bought a 29j improved mechanism...and it is the same sxxit. I have contacted Joshua Francisco.
  20. I do not agree. I have just taken this picture from an old broken Portuguese. This is the face / surface that was rotating on the plate. it is flat: Francisco.
  21. Hi: I decided to buy a Daytona, given that the new movement was rated as 29j improved version. The watch arrived today and I decided to analyze it. I bought it from Joshua (Perfect Clones) This is the watch I have received. In the pictures, NEW is the supposed improved 29j mechanism, and OLD is a Daytona that I applied the graphite technique on 26 February 2008. I took then pictures of the process, and now I have taken very similar pictures to help the comparison. The movement is removed from the case. And hands and dial are removed. Follows the first comparison. As seen on next picture, the transfer system is based on gears rotating on a plate, fastened with pins (green arrow) with no jewels. This is the same transfer system employed on the old model. There is an improvement shown by the red arrow. This improvement consists of reducing the contact surface on the gear employing “skeleton” gears instead of “solid” gears. After removing 3 screws, the top plate is removed. Follows pictures for each side of this plate. Next picture is top face. As shown, there are 3 jewels in the top plate. However, these jewels were present in the old model. These jewels are located in the seconds, minute and hour outputs of the watch. Therefore, no improvement here. The bottom face (next picture, red arrow) shows how some surface of the plate has been hollowed out. The objective is to reduce friction against the silver gear shown later (green arrow). This is one of the improvements, however, no more jewels are found here. Next picture shows the silver gear (green arrow). This gear is rotating on the surface of the plate and, unfortunately, belongs to the seconds transfer. Therefore, it is always rotating. The only improvement for this gear was commented in the previous image. No new jewels. As seen in next picture, the main improvement consists of reducing the contact surface of the gears employing skeleton gears, instead of solid ones. In next picture the gears for seconds and minutes outputs are removed. The two red arrows shown that the minutes output has a jewel and no jewel for the hours. However, this was the previous configuration. Nothing new, no new jewels. Now the seconds output gear is removed, the gear that is always running. Red arrow shows that there is not a new jewel. And a jewel here is much needed. After removing 3 screws and removing the second plate the A77500 mechanism is visible. Nothing new here. Two pictures follow for the second plate that we have just removed. The only difference, as commented before, is the use of skeleton gears. No new jewels. Follows top face. Follows bottom face. CONCLUSIONS. There are no more jewels in this mechanism. The improvement consists mainly in employing skeleton gears to reduce the rotating contact surface. The transfer for minutes is better designed that the seconds transfer. The seconds are always running and the design is still very problematic. Although there are improvements… definitively this is not a long life mechanism. Thanks for reading, Francisco.
  22. Thanks Lani for your pictures. I used some of them for this review: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=89803&hl= Francisco.
  23. James, thanks for your comments. Francisco.
