  1. Yes. Therefore, we are like at the beginnig. Who is saying the true? The only way to knw the true is to open the watch and to analyze the mechanism. BTW, I bought a Daytona from Josh. In this case, no doubt, he confirmed me that old stock was sold out and that I will receive the new version. It is coming. Francisco.
  2. who knows... I have no opinion of 29j watch until I open it.... For me Portuguese is one of the most beatiful watches... my interest is to see if finally a better movement is avalaible... Francisco.
  3. The seller admitted that Josh movement are slightly modified, after contacting the factories, because the member complained as the movement was the old one. Although the seller thinks that the difference is not relevant (after the explanation from the factories). So, if there is improvement or not, I am offering graphite treatment for free… Francisco.
  4. I forgot to say that the return shipping will be by DHL or UPS or registered airmal, as the member prefers. Francisco.
  5. The Portuguese that a member sent to me had not the new
  6. One question. The day wheel should be sunken...However i cannot see this flaw in the pictures. The gen uses a 7753... therefore..the gen has no sunken DW. Could you confirm us or post a picture of the sunken DW? Thanks, Francisco.
  7. Yes, the movement has no modifications. Francisco.
  8. It is a pity the back. It has several flaws. 1.- The bearing. It is the same problem like HBB. The bearing is not correct. However, it can be solved using the sampe procedure I explained for the HBB. 2.- Some parts of the movement must be blue...painted blue. Of course you can solve it painting these pieces. However, you must dissamble the mechanism. If I buy it I will mod it...no doubt. Francisco
  9. One of the possible causes is the cannon pinion... there is no friction... Anyway...Just send it back... the watch is in guarantee. Francisco.
  10. Thanks... Some other pieces must be blue... Francisco.
  11. Noel, what about a picture of the movement? The gen has some parts painted on blue. Sorry for the screw. Francisco.
  12. I think the moderators must delete this post Francisco.
  13. It seems very good. Thanks for posting. Francisco.
  14. To clone a movement is a very hard task. It is cheaper for them to use the A770 and to design modificactions. A I said in that thread I have just bought a Daytona. I will review the movement. Hopefully, the new modification is much better then previous. Francisco.
  15. I have just bought a Daytona for me. Therefore, I will be able of analyzing both movements, Portuguese and Daytona. Just be patient. Francisco.
  16. I am now comparing rep and gen pictures... Francisco.

  18. Very valuable post. Thanks for sharing Francisco.
  19. No you cannot. Gen HBB and rep HBB have a modified 7750 to transfer the minutes totalizer from 12 to 3. BTW, you cannot use a ETA 7753. Francisco.
  20. It is interesting for the forum that you show us the process you followed. Francisco.
