  1. First of all Thanks Mike (Two-Tone), for pointing towards this post. POTR please check you PM, I wish to send you a direct gift and I think it's a splendid idea for all to participate in the Auction Thread for POTR. Please look at the Auction Thread for POTR as I will be offering... A handpicked brandnew unworn, QC tested "PAM 183, Radiomir Black Seal, Asian Unitas, Ar coating, Saphire crystal front + back, genuine leather with Pre-V buckle, screw down in crown" @POTR, I kno your situation sucks, I wonder if you have checked into some alternative healing processes? And please have a positive outlook/perspective as that can determine everything. I don't believe anything/nothing happens without reason. Have hope there are tons of ppl and even wealthy ppl gone all the way down to the bottom only to learn valueable lessons they couldn't have gained any other way only to find themselves back at the top again! If they can do it, I believe you can as well. Since I live in Thailand I've been quite involved with some charity events helping underprivilged children, the main thing tho what they need isn't perse material funds (not trying to minimize it) but what they truly need is a change of perpective, thought, and positive injection into the right direction that will always be a part of who they are and that will ultimately shape their future. Of course theirs a need (direct need) of material things (funds, money) but for the long term it's better to teach somebody how to fish. I hope I'm expressing what i'm trying to say properly as English isn't my national language. I got some great books that I believe will help you into the right direction as well, I wish to send you. You're in my thoughts & prayers Chris
  2. Hi Freddy, I was just browsing the internet, and read something here about stuff even better than graphite or so they say..... read for yourself. What you guys think? http://graflex.org/speed-graphic/lubricants.html Better Lubricants than Graphite Graphite powder, although it is an excellent dry lubricant, has been shown to be corrosive to aluminum when there is possibility of moisture being present. Consequently, the USAF banned the use of Graphite lubricants on any USAF aircraft, several years ago. While graphite was the standard when the Speed Graphics were now, there is now a much better alternative: Molybdenum disulfide powder (Chemical symbol=MoS2). A Graflex booklet on their roll film backs (with the film flattening pin rollers) advises how to lubricate them, with Z Molykote powder (Dow Corning trade name for MoS2 powder) dissolved in alcohol and applied in small quantities to the ends of the pin rollers, letting the mixture penetrate. The alcohol evaporates, and after wiping off the excess, you have the MoS2 powder left behind in the rollers. Graflex even sold this powder under their part number. It is a dark, almost black powder, similar to graphite in appearance. Messy if you spill it. Used just like graphite powder. You can "burnish" it on metal parts by rubbing it in with a cloth or stiff bristle brush. Some target shooters burnish MoS2 powder on their bullets--better accuracy, less bore fouling with lead. Ought to work really good on shutter leafs (carefully!!) Some motorcycle chain lubes have MoS2 powder in a carrier liquid to penetrate the chain links and then evaporate, leaving the powder behind. Ought to work in shutters too. MoS2 can be purchased from at least two sources: local distributors (bearing supply houses, for example) normally have the Dow Corning Molykote Z powder in 10 oz bottles for almost 50 bucks. Or online at: Rose Mills Company, LLC. Click on Bemol Lubricants and scroll down to the three grades of powder they sell online. I like the superfine grade, with particle sizes avg. 1.5 microns. It really gets into tight spaces. (.001 inch of clearance equals 25 microns--I expect some camera shutter clearances are much less that this) Sold in 1 pound tubs (several lifetimes supply) for around 30 bucks plus shipping. (a bargain) Buy a tub and sell small quantities on Ebay for mucho bucks each!! Spray the powder in your door locks. Plenty of other potential uses, it won't go to waste. Use your imagination. The Z Molykote powder averages 4 to 10 microns particle size, and would also work if you want to buy locally and use exactly what Graflex specified, but it is expensive. Read about it at: Dow Corning Click on "Products/data sheets" and follow the rabbit trail to get a PDF file you can download. (product information sheet mentions use on camera shutters) The site will also give you a list of local distributors in your area. Contributor: LtCol Rick Jones (USAF-Retired) 116 Freeman Dr Warner Robins, GA 31088-3902 LtCol Jones is an engineer with the USAF, and has worked aircraft on corrosion problems and many others.
  3. Hej guys, Sorry site is not online yet, almost there. Think 1-2 days more. Kind regard
  4. Hi, give me a few days to set up my website perhaps (i cant promise) should be up tomorrow. AR-Coating service looks like its gonna also be included with my services if needed. I already made a deal. I talked to a indepentant trusted long term member here and he will also validate my pre-7750 claim with his own watchmaker. Don't wanna give names yet until all is up and running. He's a great guy! Keep you guys in suspense. Hang on just for a few days, I have limited stock in Europe at the moment but for fast shipping can also be send from China. @Nos send me an e-mail and I'll take a look Kind regards to you all.
  5. @ FXRANDY, Hej Andy thanks for review, still like those shots with your sony Ericsson. Had the same model but I'm using a IPhone now. Here's on pic I took with the Sony Ericsson, view from my bedroom
  6. Hi Guys, To answer Kenberg and Italiano17771, Def will be competitive pricing for the rest of the World, like USA etc. There will be advantages sending directly from China as it is less trouble/time on my part (instead if I have to route it to Europe first), perhaps price will incl EMS (super fast shipment) and the Quality control and the watches will be done anyways within China/Guagnzhou or Thailand (depending on the watch you want). Double advantages coz it arrives very quickly and you have the guarantee that it arrives. More policy will be set up, as soon as can. Please note that I'm not (yet) a ultra large mass seller (coz my exsisting customers were just a few in comparison to the board members so therefore I could focus all my attention on the quality control and the individual customer) and my watches undergo a CQ so understand that i cannot ship watches within the first day, usually gets shipped within a week. And for pre-servicing 7750 you might need to wait a bit longer. I like to think of it this way, it might be abit slow shipped but if it arrives and all is well then you save time and money in the end, instead of taking chances. I have a very broad "live" picture library which will be posted on my website soon. Yet it might be that I dont have all "live" footage of the watches you inquire for -just reference/factory pics at times-, but surely I can get them and the latest versions as well. Again pics will be taken of the actual watch you receive so there won't be any miscommunication. Kind regards Chris
  7. Hi Guys, Thanks for the kind words and warm welcome. I just wrote a quick introduction. More to come soon... Short introduction. Introduction I’ve been on the board since Old RWG, been more of a reader than a poster. Thanks to you guys for sharing all the knowledge and passion for watches I always enjoy reading your post, esp from the veteran members who post beautiful reviews/guides/tutorials/gen-rep comparison posts. At times I’m quite amazed at the intricate details that for instance By-Tor shows or the watchmaking skills of The Zigmeister, or the photoshoots of Pugwash/TTK, and there tons other members with excellent post to that I cannot think of right now. I really started off as a noob several years ago b4 joing the club, and altho I won’t acclaim myself as a super-duper-I-know-it-all guru, I do think that in time I’ve acquired alot of knowledge and I’m always open to learn more. I believe I can offer unique services that no-other can do, something like the best of all worlds. I’ve been an off-the-board European dealer for about 2 years. Mainly the high-end watches (“swiss” ETA based or A7750 I usually dont sell what we classify as “asian-watches” lower end ones). Now I want to focus to sell on the board-members only, and my partner in Europe will take over the existing clients -offboard-. Background information This is going to sound a bit complex, but it works and I believe it will work in your advantage. I life in Thailand currently, where I have one big supplier there and soon will also be offering MBK watches as well. My associate lives in Guangzhou where I met her. I trained her personally to what/where to check and how to keep a high quality control. She works full-time and doesn’t have an other job so that is a big plus. As what I pay her is more than what she would earn if working for a boss. While working with me having advantage of more freedom, thinking, expanding and learning. We’re not just mere business partners but have established a long term relationship. So her main function is ordering and ensuring that you receive what you ordered and that it passed thru a high-standard quality control. We have an excellent watch-smith in GZ were the watches will be extra checked regulated where need be and pressure tested. He also performs 7750 complete ultra-sonic cleaning, oiling, regulating. Yes its alot of information, and alot of services which perhaps sounds too good “as some might claim” to be true ---Yet it is--- and have been doing (most of my services) so for past years! I always wanted to be the best in what I do. Since I was selling “off the board” directly face-to-face to customers in Europe the price was substantial higher so all was expected to work topnotch and nothing less. Since one of the biggest issue in replica world is QC-- that is were we focused on most. Because it takes investment/risks/time/money/frustration importing to Europe -sending- it back for repair etc. So the way I see it, is you win in the longterm by getting it right the first time (altho it might cost initially a bit more). In Europe I have somebody who does merely the shipping. (no long story there) When ordering; my associate or I personally will double check my supplier and order/send/take pics of the watches prior to sending. So no-dropshipping. Current services -Communications -usually within 24 hours- -Quality Control (no drop-shipping), what will actual be checked by me personally or by my personal-associate (more info see above) in Guanzhou / Thailand -Pictures of the actual watch can be received before shipment (what you see is what you get) -Large offering similiar to Josh & Andrew & TTK -Warranty that package arrives to your door. -Pre-serviced 7750 with 6 months warranty on the movement -Waterproof test and silicon grease of the rubbers will automatic be included in the price. -Movement regulated and checked incl 6 months warranty. -Shipping from Europe or China directly. -No white lies or black lies and services will actual be performed and guaranteed. There might be times I don’t know the answer to a certain question/request, then I will tell you simply that “I don’t know”. I don’t consider myself as a watch-god, but I’m sure open to learning things that I don’t know. Besides “what you see is what you get” (unless it becomes a endless task which it might be in the far future, the individual customer will get 3 or so shots from the actual watch that is going to be shipped). More details in dept about my services/warranty/pricing etc will be posted soon. Future services - MBK watches (near future) (custom) AR Coated watches (custom) Lumed dail + hands (custom) Installing simple parts like gen/generic bezel-inserts for Rolex so a partially or fully modded rep out of the box. If you could please give me some time (about a week) to get used to a different way of selling. So I can Make a competitive pricing-list. Upload a new website etc. Currently also building up a stock in Europe. Please don’t inquire (yet) for watches for sale not listed under in my area. So I truly have some time to establish myself. If I didn’t / forgot to mention some things that you would like to know more of, please let me know. All e-mails please send to EuroTimez@gmail.com, no PM please.
  8. Luigi gets home to Italy from his holiday in California. He is very depressed, and his friend Alfonso asks him, "What's the matter? You no like-a California?" "Mama mia!" replies Luigi. "What a nightmare! I go-a to California and stay at the Pope and Pasta Hotel in Palm Springs. In the morning, I go-a to breakfast. I tell-a the waiter, 'I want two pissis of toast.' He bring-a me only one pisss. "I say, 'I want-a two pisss. He say, 'Go to the bathroom.' I say, 'You no understand. I wanna pisss on the plate.' He say, 'You no pisss on the plate, you son-of-a-b!' "Later, I have-a lunch. The waitress brings me a knife and a spoon, but no fock. I tell her, 'I wanna fock.' She tell me, 'Everyone wanna fock.' I say, 'You no understand, I wanna fock on the table.' She say, 'You no gonna fock on the table, you son-of-a-b!' "So I go-a back to my hotel room, and there are no shits on my bed. I call-a the manager and tell him, 'I wanna shitss.' He say, 'Go to the bathroom.' I say, 'You no understand, I wanna shitss on my bed.' He say, 'You no gonna s h i t on the bed, you son-of-a-b!' "So, I'm-a finished. I go-a to check out, and the man at the desk say, 'Happy holidays, and peace on you.' "I say, 'pisss on you too, you son-of-a-b, I go-a home!'"
  9. Damn that sure was Funny, thanks Ken! I like nr 12 hilarious
  10. Yep, I've seen them in the past 2-years ago, there like second hand movements (at least the ones I saw and opened on a few rolexen, send them back) it isn't I think 288000 it's 21,600 or something (i cud be wrong) and it's only 17 jewels or 21 jewels. It's the first generation of the 2836-2, I can't really recall but I think mine didn't had the "-1" it just had just 2836. Show some pictures, I think I also have some pics of the old ones need 2 find them tho.
  11. With this Kit DIY Noctilumina (not and alot of soare time) what should I order if I want to "try" to relume a rolex dail? Yachtmaster or something?
  12. That was FUNNY, HILARIOUS! Tks made my day! -Waking baby part- How do they come up with stuff like that....LOL
  13. Neither, this Ferrari edition is a PVD coting, its a new way of coting, far better than electro-plating. I think Tag heuer and some other brands do PVD Coting, its something to do with vacuum titanium etc, and a little thing bit of gold. It's basically as far as i understand (read tons about it, but can't recall at the moment) it is sort of a "paint" if I may illustrate it like that. The nice thing is it won't fade or wear out, it has a very high tolerance to wear-tear, that basically what u need to know (no need to know how electricity work, to switch "on" the TV or to know what its useful for) Go google or wikipedia and find PVD coting to know more. The PVD is more expensive than Electroplating but obviously cheaper than 18k solid gold, but you got to get the right shade and that's what they did with the Rose Gold Ferrari, coz electroplating tend to get a wrong color. Nice watch btw. Kind regards
  14. True, True, I got a simple watchsmith in Thailand, TTK prob knows these kinda guys, they have a shop on the side of the road. I let him do simple stuff, changing bezels, cleaning ETA movements, adjusting straps, fixing minor issues, and I watch him do it (which is quite educative at times, at times a pain in the ass), depending on the job and quanity. Or I go for a bite somewhere and walk back, but living on a Tropical Island instead of in the busy city of BKK it is less stressing. But def, takes alot of time even for just 5 watches, it may take up to half a day. Not to mention drive 40 min just too see this watchsmith coz his the best in the area (and he's by far not as good as The Zigmeister or the other watchsmith I have in China). But TTK puts it straight in Thailand people tend to have a slack/layedback mentality, they have a saying "mai phen rai", or they always say "tomollow tomollow" (not trying to be offensive but that's how they actually say it, as they cannot prenounce the "R"). Oww I also checked out the MARK SIRIANNI WATCH REPAIR, but he states that he prefferes not doing Chronograph's and that;s the whole complex thing. Most Watchsmith can service the non-chrono movements, but the 7750 is going to be a pain, besides he doesn't have the ASIAN 7750 spareparts etc like The Zigmeister has. Also I noticed on his website he had a picture of his working space, but it seems lil (for all the experience he has) how to say it?!! Looks like he just fix watches on his desk?! Maybe just me.... Regards,
  15. Hi Ken, Altho we all know this to be an accurate fact, with all due respect to The Zigmeister, we for starters may not live in USA or Canada. Some of us life in ASIA or EUROPE where the prices and contacts of watchsmiths are much harder to get, The Zigmeister is rightfully quite busy (coz he's damn good) and it will take a very long time to get it done (again i mean no ill intent) he states it himself. But what we're discussing is that there are others who can do the same job (i mean The Zigmeister is damn good, but that doesn't mean that there aren't qualified watchsmiths, in asia or elsewhere), besides wouldn't it be better to get your watch pre-serviced from the start? I mean you buy a rep pre-serviced?! Or else you would..... 1. Order the watch.....wait 2-4 weeks (depending on the dealer) 2. Once received, past tru customs etc etc etc, you wanna wear it 24/7 DAMMIT. 3. Then you gotta worry about the movement not holding it together. 4. So you gotta send it to watchsmith (pref local), which you need to find bla bla bla (if not living USA/CANADA). 5. Cannot find one, so you need to send it to The Zigmeister, -make appointment, takes 2-4 weeks- sending it risking it getting stolen/lost/confiscated and wait another 4 weeks for The Zigmeister to finish it, wait another 1 week for sending it back with the risk of getting it stolen/lost/confiscated etc. 6. once it arrives, you can finally wear it with pride. 7. The Zigmeister is rightfully not the cheapest but also think about the sending cost that involves etc. We just open some posibilities. Hope you don't mind, I gotta run. If I missed anyhting or didn't stated something well enough, let me know. Please note that I have no ill intent mentioning The Zigmeister but he's like practically all we got (at the moment). Chris
  16. Hi Ken, Oh, I didn't check the date, but I posted somewhere else in a fresher thread, which was kinda linked to this one, so I just read it. I thought it would be a nice service to offer in the nearby future. I contacted the admin already, and i'm waiting to pay the fees asap the admin ask me to pay which is no problem at all. But I cannot handle the quanity at the moment since chinese year isn't finished yet. So I can't offer too watches at the moment, since I ship from Europe. But I i was reading the "fresher" thread elsewhere, and I couldn't help but respond, coz everybody says it cannot be Done, but I've been doing so for several months. Sorry if I did anything I shouldn't have. In my post however I didn't try to make mention of selling any watches, but I wanted to see if there was any interest so I could offer this service well maybe as soon as I pay the fees to RWG. I really don't mind that as you can see I'm also a supporter (like many others btw) because I just love it here! Kind regards,
  17. LoL, the above picture - anytime, anywhere- the second picture all of the opposite! LoL, the above picture - anytime, anywhere- the second picture all of the opposite!
  18. Well I'm asian (50/50) but I didn't really get offended I just needed to laugh at the saying of SLAY, but I can see that it might offend people. Hopefully and I assume he didn't intended that, slip of the thong. Well, I read this http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...=7750&st=20 whole thread. About having an actual realiable watchsmith in Asia is hard to close impossible to have. And I altho I agree for the most part what TTK stated, ""It can't be done......I've been thru about 7-8 Asian "watchsmiths".......and they are NOT reliable......you can give him an Asian 7750 and he'll do a full service.....he'll do that until you place your trust in him.......the next one you give him....might have nothing done to it at all.....they will LIE.......and then they will LIE.......the will buzzsaw thru' corners.......swish and dip is a FULL service compared to what Asian watchsmiths will do.......they are not all bad....I have about 3x good ones......but they are slow....and you defo can't hit them with tens of watches per week....unless you bring him on board specifically to handle your output....and that means higher prices to you guys.......!"" This is alot of times true. BUT I DO NOT AGREE that it "CANNOT BE DONE". I have it done! I know my postcount may not have any creditility but nonetheless what I'm saying doesn't mean it ain't so until proven otherwise, and I wouldn't mind being put to the test by The Zigmeister or other respected members. The problem is that you need to find a needle in a haystack. Even most asian aren't that reliable and in some ways slack. This isn't always the case, there are highly qualified chinese/asian workmanship, I mean just look at your REPS! Just look at the beautiful (re) creation these guys can make. If you been to Shenzhen they copyied part of the WORLD -Window of the world- it is called, including the Eiffeltower on a 1;3 scale. Of course there are alot of Shiitty asian reps out there, if not mainly (1000 to 1) but that doesn't mean that all asian quality is louzy, as that is what comes to mind in alot of close-minded people when you tell them its made in CHina. It is because the asscosiate china with cheap / louzy items (which is for most part true, alot of cheap low quality stuff come from china), but they should think deeper coz at the same time, 90% of all top-grade-electronics also comes from China/Asia think of APPLE IPHONE, LCD SCREENS, FLAT SCREENS, COMPUTER PARTS etc etc and Top-grade RePS! Again it is just you need to search and you need to know who to deal with, and test them and see if they do a good job. I had a "so-called" realiable watchmaker in Netherland, which ended up braking 2 BCE and installing a simple crown which took him a few months which cost me 300 euro's. I had the same done Servicing 7750 not only in shorter time, less money, but he got the job done. Well I must say I'm kinda lucky coz I got a chinese Gf and she stays in Guangzhou (where I go regulary) and her dad own's several gens, her dad has a highly qualitified watchmaker who normally does only original brands and who had serviced one of her dad's broken Gen. (YES EVEN IN CHINA YOU CAN BUY GEN' WATCHES, and logically they need to be repaired by qualified ppl not somebody from the side of the street). According to my GF the watchmaker got a whole "mini lab" and several people working for him, a some sort of dust-free/vacuum room, she described. He very proffesional and he's not one of the cheapest either. He is also centered in a up-scale shopping area, not a side on the street like I see in thailand for instance. Of course I didn't trusted him straight away, my gf test the watches before-hand and sees if stuff run well etc (otherwise give it back to the factory/supplier no need to service) and there was a Santos 100 chrono that didn't reset well, some probs with the chrono function. She gave it to the guy, after a few week the watchmaker had it all done and said the Santos 100 chrono had problems and was because of some faulty part which he replaced, and everything worked flawlessly after that. So it's not like he just looks and does nothing on it. So I let him service all my watches, my rep watches, inluding 7750 watches, they get regulated, cleaned/oiled/supersonic cleaning/put on the testing machine etc/ my GF brings the watches personally to him and he does the job! I even asked him to freeze a few Daytona @ 6 clock for me, because I just love that watch but want a realiable movement. He does it all! The 7750 to my experience is 50/50 unserviced, but serviced it runs great, I traded a 7750 pre-serviced watch to a friend of mine (after he bought 2x 7750 watches non serviced and ended up failing or keeping bad time) he said that after a week it was 30 sec in the plus -for the whole 7 days so average +6 sec to fast per day- (running to fast) he asked me if this was ok? I said it was excellent! So stating it cannot be done, i think is a huge overstatement... AGAIN this is not BS or just talk, if any reputable member wish to put it to the test and grade this watchmaker and his skills I'm open for it! Perhaps The Zigmeister?

  20. I got two pieces to, unlocked it tho, bought one for my father! Some cute girl I used to date brought it from America for me, heard the prices in Europe for the Iphone is a killer, as well as unlocking it officially 1000euro+. The typing is one thing you need to get used to, but like Pugwash said rest is pretty straight forward, ohh try learing how to take pics of yourself, coz holding the thing it kinda hard.
  21. haha, good laugh, I thought at first it was gonna be "imo" a outrages ammount like at least 3x zero's, but 110 usd is not much at all "imo", I think in Europe or at least western europe you can barely get a casual jeans that looks somewhat descent for 110 usd. I guess it where you comin from and what is the average. Like now in Netherland where I grew up it's like 160-200 euro is the norm for brand design jeans "for men" btw. For women not only do you have 5x more shops and choices the starting prices are equally less expensive. Now i'm In thailand however, you can get okay okay jeans for like 5euro, and awesome quality for like 20-30 euro (no use in buying actual brand here as they copy and fake everything so wearing the real deal won't give you perse status-symbol as is required in the west). Besides how good can the quality of jeans be??! from a brand, usually just like with Gen watches you pay for the brandname and illusion/status-symbol/feeling it gives you!
  22. TKS TKS for the review and beautiful pics, still doubting if I get one of those what the HECK I'M I GONNA DO WITH MY BLACK SUBMARINER?!!? ahah.......
  23. Great watch and great Pics btw, forgot to mention that. Awesome, would go for the black one myself, I donno abt some of you guys but I just seem to be the black/white person (reflects not only on my watches but also on my clothes).
  24. LOL -some pics really make your mouth water-hahah. Most of the time it's the picture or idea that sells, like in my opionion with the UPO in perfect light and slight reflection it looks fantastic, but when u look straight at the dail in poor lighting it just looks like cheapo watch. Pics makes the difference, think of Pugwash or TTK pics damn, makes u want to grab your wallet!
