  1. Hi Everybody, @ Manuel, Did you also get the pictures that I posted online for you of your actual watch? My true apologies for the long wait, you're waiting longer than "I" personally wanted. There are sometimes some unforseen events which I don't control so I made some policies regarding it. Before we ship out we need time to inspect your watch, which takes time. I combine ship some expensive watches and ship them express to EU so they can be forwarded safely to your destination. Your watch was shipped yesterday like I mailed you... I'm still kinda recovering.... as I caught a very bad cold, still coughing my brains out and been mostly in bed this last week, taking things really slow... Feeling alot better tho Very strange to catch a cold in Thailand, as its very hot here. I think I slept with the Air-Con too high I will be on the forum more often from now...
  2. I genuinely do QC, as you can read in my signature. This is an very interesting post, I just made some policy regarding what to expect and what -- not. As some things are just a part of buying a rep. I must honestly admit however, I did made a few minor mistakes dispite my QC -which I took full responsibility of and has been taken care of already--. As I inspect and know out of my head all the standard flaws which comes with a rep I tend to look at it first, but then there was came an better upgraded version of this rollie which had a slightly different dail. So I inspected for all obvious flaws which I knew from experience was an issue, but then one "small" word on the dial wasn't printed straight ---in all my years handling reps this was never an issue before so I never noticed it--- I even took quick pics of the watch prior to shipping, and it had to get send asap. Because I wanted to satisfy the customer in my haste I didn't even notice that flaw. So when it arrived, the customer notified me and was obviously "rightfully" a bit upset --as I garantee QC-- thankfully I worked it out already and offered replacement and some extra as compensation for the loss of time. I will never knowingly / intentionally send an watch I wouldn't wear myself. So if it has bad lume I personally wouldn't wear it --- so I wouldn't sell it.... I now made some guidelines/policies which I will abide by, so I won't make these kind of mistakes because I'm in a hurry to satisfy the customer in a timely matter. I also want to let you know that dispite QC mistakes can be made (we're all human), but that would be in rare instances, the chance of getting a flawed rep is significantly reduced by QC! And if a mistake is made I think taking full responsibility for it and reply in an timely matter would solve most if not all problems. And of course shipping a replacement as soon as "possible". Sometimes you won't get a refund from the factory, like for instance I bought an SOSF ETA (real new ETA) which is very very expensive for a client, the lume was totally crap and the factory wouldn't accept it back. Of course I cannot get it in this state shipped to my client, so I notified him it would take longer. Tried everything, even trying to swap the dail from another factory--which didn't fit-- and asked the client to choose another one as this factory is known for the bad lume. (see picture below) So this is a loss which I have to accept and is a part of dealing, I told him I rather sell him nothing...... than crap! He's a very nice guy and understands it compelety so he choose for a TAG AQUARACER instead. So I think, as long as the client understand that QC takes time, and understands that there are risks involved and sometimes it would be wiser to wait or change order,...... things could/would be worked out for the better between dealer and buyer. Comes down to clear and honest communication. If you want to know more about the repworld can read more in my signature, about 60-70% watches aren't "perfect" (whatever you define by that is another story) out of the box. It needs fine-tuning next to the QC...
  3. I can confirm that the MBK Yachtmaster has def a better feel and feels somehow I can't explain, but I've handled alot and I mean alot of reps. But the MBK ones I tell you .... They feel better, it def has a better sparkling effect than the noob dail. I went to the AD in Paragon (where I collected tons of books hah, i'm a cheapskate --didn't buy any gen tho--) and the gen Yachtmaster has at some point a very sparkling effect while viewed from a different angle it looks like it has no sparkle --more like the noob ones---. Very funny effect, personally I like the rep better than the gen haha. Perhaps I should send By-Tor an Yachtmaster MBK for review? He can do a side by side comparison, I'm not good at that as By-Tor is.
  4. @arminvanbuuren, the one you have is the previous generation (or at least the new ones I have the dail is slightly different) I can see it because the Lume on the hands and the lume on the Hour-markers aren't the same, while on my new Noobyachtmasters the hands and the hourmarkers have the same lume (or so it appears, same colour).
  5. Hi Cloma, Welcome to the forum, I got the noobmariner watches with asian at 120usd or with REAL new ETA movement (no copy or second grade movement, fully inspected) at 280 usd. I have stock in EU so if you're from EU then it would work better out for you concerning customs are strict in EU. The Noobmariners are considered by most to be one of the best submariner out of the box at an affordable rate(while opinion always vary). you also have MBK submariners with genuine bezel construction, (the dail is less according the the experts, but I'll also modify MBK with Noobdails ---that is a whole different topic--- but the price of MBK watches are very high 400 usd with ETA movement) If you want to order please read ordering instructions in my signature (below). You can find other information and some reviews done by some of my clients. Happy hunting @Longshot thanks for the kind words, glad you like your watch
  6. @ Arminvanbuuren, it would be about 500-575 usd incl shipping. Same as the SS version. Endlinks are MBK Quality, how do you want me to describe it MBK seems to be pretty darn good! I'm not sure if they have Blue Hornback straps I haven't seen them there, but I'll ask tonight/tomorrow I think coz the boss gonna call me for some other things we're working out.
  7. @rckh, not sure yet, after there is enough interest I will contact mbk for futher details. The est is very low, you would get higher price quoted if you would go to MBK yourself to buy one. @SS version would go between 500-575 usd
  8. Cool so there is an interest, about the hornback strap, all I know when talking to MBK that there is only one and its not from Thailand or China btw (if I'm not mistaken that's what I got out our conversation), that makes these straps. I have no idea about the cites law and all that, what do you think MBK would say if I asked him that question?!? I doubt that they're endangered species as he gets them handmade anytime, so I don't think that when he calls his supplier or hornstrap maker that he going out hunting. Thailand (the main part) is very modern nowadays it's not a jungle out there. These are gen-crocodile straps that's all I know, AP also makes the same straps hornback straps. Panerai makes crocodile straps (not hornback) we have all kind of genuine leather straps on the forum, I didn't knew it was a problem for people to wear leather. Or am I missing the point...
  9. @Stephane, thanks. I can offer any MBK watch you want, QC check it (yes even MBK needs to get checked, but thankfully the error margin is significantly lower than Chinese reps). You can see pictures at my photo-album in my website www.eurotimez.com and please read ordering instructions before contacting us --here--. It is a very simple procedure for us to keep on top of everything. In my signature you can find out more about me...
  10. I had alot alot of questions for the MBK hornback Aproo. I quoted a price at 800 usd shipped (as the price I buy it in is very very expensive IMO) well just a hornback strap is find on the internet at 400-500 usd. This price is also very high as I have to insure that the packages arrives at the clients door. So I had to take that into consideration. If any packages get confiscated (and it is prove-able I would send them a new one, so at 800 usd it would be pretty safe and I would keep a fair precentage). This price however seems to be to much for most members. So I
  11. Very nice, pics and superb watch. Wear it well! I really love the wrist and crystal Shot! I always shake when I try to do a wrist shot. I now have a lightbox now, but I totaly now what you mean when you said that you are dependant on only light. B4 I had a lightbox (which I had custom build), I could only take pics when the sun was shining out side --in the shade- coz it sooo hot in thailand. But better hot than cold like in NL--hehe right Cats -- thankfully the sun shines like 90% of the time. Great job!
  12. I forgot to say....cool review. The tudor looks very nice.
  13. Yes, All my watches get the full inspection treatment. For noobmariners and the like it will include. ---inspecting--- this test is for the noobmariner/yachtmaster (other watches get similiar treatment (some don't have date/mag so then some test are obviously unnessary) A. Silcon grease all gaskets / crowns. (read some reviews that my clients clearly could see it was greased etc --NO WHITE LIES from me) 1. Pearl (if it is within acceptable terms, roundness ---some are plain ugly misshapped I dont sell them---) 2. Bezel (if is turns well and doesn't have any issues) 3. Glass (if the glass is clean) 4. Date-mag (if the date-mag on the glass is allignment with the date, if not glass will be reinstalled, also will be checked if it mag is good ---some i've seen are slightly damaged or has a dot on them---) 5. Dail (if all the lume are equally filled, if there's no dust/dirt on the dail, print is crisp etc) Functions/wear. 6. crown (I pull it in/out couple of times, see if when you pull it out it start in the handwinding position --as many when its not oiled it will jump to position nr 2 which is date-change, then I try out all 3 trip-lock functions, if it doesn't open/close smooth I get it oiled or I won't sell it ---you have no idea how many times I had to re-install/oil the crown because it didn't go smooth in/out) 7. Date change A ( I change the date at position nr 2 of the crown, change from 1 till 31 and all should change well, some have these issues then they'll get repaired --or I wont sell them) 8. Date change B (I change the time to 24.00 hours the date should change at 24.00 hours I usually give it a margin +/- of 1-3 min error, if it's outside of that margin then I get the hands reinstalled ---in china however where my assoisate let my watchmaker do the same test, he always makes sure its at 24.00 exactly!!! ---I will do so from now on too---) 9. Date change C ( I turn in crown posistion 3, and change turn the time until it hits 24.00 hours, then the date change manually I check this on several dates to ensure that all works properly. I had some items tho, that some dates work fine and some change only go half-way, so from now on I will check all 1-31 dates!!) 9. Date-allignment will get checked. 10. Bracelet I will check if the clasp open/closes, if the overal quality and fit to the watch is okay. 11. Screws Check all the screws by individually unscrewing them until they almost go out, then screw them back in. As if one....yes only 1 screw don't screw out, or can't screw close, the whole bracelet is useless and the client cannot where the watch. This problem is not uncommen. 12. If ETA movement = Movement checked if it is new ETA (if it is new ETA movement -checked if it isn't a copy-movement, second grade/recycled one-, if it is asian movement very easy to tell) --China only service-- (only my watchmaker in china who worked for gen company for 7 years has all the right equipment, my contact brings it personally to him for the above inspection + below then she'll double check some random functions!!!) 13. Water-resistance test till 50m 14. Hearbeat monitor. ---for chronograph movements---- We will check all functions and cosmetic design/looks. All the above is a factual statement and is actually performed --NO WHITE, BLACK, GREY, BROWN LIES-- any customer may verify my word on this one! Warm regards and thanks for reading. Chris
  14. haha, chronus, I studied french but my I didn't use so I lost it. But THANKFULLY I GOT an APPLE ta-da with translator Okay lets keep it on an universal language that everybody can understand or else we're gonna have a war. Everybody gonna randomly chat their own language french, german, dutch, italian, spanish, russian. Only the english ppl gonna feel left out with nothing to hide...
  15. oeps okay okay Nederlanders, belgen. Andy you can read dutch? I thought you were german, but it's very near... ha. @ Stephane thanks for the gen rollie boxes they're very very nice exactly as described. Keeping one for myself.
  16. Woooowww, sometimes we hassle and bussle around about 10-30 bucks increase in rep prices, but think about having a 2.5million $$$ (just for ppl to realize the amount 2.500.000 usd) around your wrist. I guess some ppl have to much money and don't know what to do with it.
  17. Thank you all for the kind words, I'm also really sad about the results But this is a grey / underground market so what can you expect.
  18. TT Noob solid Gold !FINAL UPDATE! Hi guys, There has been alot of inquiry about the solid gold strap noobmariners. I
  19. Wow after reading your whole thing I see why you're so succesfull doing 100k a month -good job-, damn good customer service, I think I can learn from you. Yeah sorry to hear that Ebay giving u trouble, I know Ebay really sucks as does Paypal (ripping you off from all sides but then again you need them to do business too), I remember the days when they were just starting out and were so small. I sold tons of stuff, but now there making it impossible. What can you do?! I wish google or something came up with an auction site that would be something?!
  20. I wonder what the buyer would do if he hated the film?!
  21. Wow, really wow, thanks so much for sharing, that was very intersting. I really like reading your comments on each and every picture it made the whole trip alive. Tks once again. rg Chris
  22. read this topic, more ppl are getting burned with advertising markups, buyer pays for the advertised ETA 2836-2 movement gets a clone. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...mp;#entry437682 (read here) There is two ways a new dealer like myself can play along, keep my mouth shut and look the other way. Sell at "their" prices *and keep an hefty profit* , sell the same copy ETA or old recylced movements which not many will notice anyways and lable them as original ETA. As most don't even have the tools to open the watch or even know where to look at. Or ask the correct price and keep a minor/descent profit as ETA movement are very expensive nowaydays + I add value by the QC that I do. On a UPO there is a 75 usd difference from COPY to NEW ETA. If the forum didn't took action in the past we wud still be advertised with SWISS 2892-A2, or SUPER-LUME eh Superb lume, even now today the ads still reads/says ASIAN ETA 2813?! It has happened in the past and it is still happening today! I've seen very very clean and brandspanking new ETA movements so they are there. I garantee that in my swiss ETA Noobmariner is a complete new ETA movement I saw it. And I sold a few already they may testify if it is anything other than my claim. @The Zigmeister the myota movement is more expensive than the DG-2813, like way more, every single cent counts when you produce asian reps on a 1.000.000 a month. Perhaps they're also easier to attain. As I've been selling also off the forum, most ppl who aren't forum-members don't know much about reps, if they know anything at all they know this. Asian movement is BAD! and Swiss is Good! so to them it really doesn't matter (the larger rep buyers who are off forum) if it is a myota or a cheaper DG as it's all the same to them... ASIAN ---cheap quality in their eyes---. Why do you think they get scammed when Idealreplicas tell them its made the reps are made in Switzerland, or come with Italian movements, it's an idea that sells not the real facts and fig. Same counts for water-resistance, it doesn't matter for the repmakers if the rep can go 100 meter or 5 meter, they don't make more money on it. So why spend more money.
  23. Hi Ken, The 100 usd was an example and to get the point across and for illustration purposes. I'm sorry if I didn't write it correctly as english isn't my first language but I think many ppl know what I'm trying to say. Quote chris "The above are just to get the point across, the fig and percentage is just as example to illustrate what I'm trying to say." end Quote. I was talking about a certain percentage that they make. There are some trade secrets, like I don't want to state my buy-in prices / profit margins, from who I buy them, etc for obvious reason. So therefore I cannot give exact examples, also without identify the dealers I'm ref too. But can tell you this, if FOR INSTANCE they're making at least percentage of 50% CONSISTANTLY over at least 1000+ watches at the price they offer (as in my above sample --selling price 100 ---profit 50, selling price 200 ---profit 100 etc) --And I can see that when I compare THEIR SELLING PRICE with MY BUY-IN PRICE it is always 50% or more-- . But when it comes to the ETA 2836-2 driven ones, in this example THEIR OFFERING PRICE compared to my buy-in PRICE calculated their profit would only be 10% or less if they would offer A NEW ETA 2836-, does this makes sense that over almost of of their watches offered they consistantly make 50% but when it comes to the ETA driven ones they only make 10%?! If they would offer a CLONE Movement their profit margin would go back to 50-60% or if they would offer a lesser quality second-hand (recycled) ETA 2836-2. So it would most likely and I'm pretty certain that this is what you're getting. As most dealers don't do charity, and they need to make at least (in this example) more than 10% if they're gonna garantee your shipment etc etc. So fig out what you're most likely gonna get. If ppl don't want to believe my word --see below-- Lets ask the members who now knows due to repair issues (by for instance The Zigmeister or other proffessional as some watchmakers cannot even tell the differnence) or something that they discovered FOR A FACT that they have an ETA COPY movement or a second grade and LET THEM NAME THE DEALER THEY BOUGHT IT FROM, Watch model and price paid! You can then verify my word. I had all my watches checked for the New ETA movement! In China I have an assoisate who is local from guangzhou who I trust 100% and I vouch for her, she brings every piece to get a high QC and ETA movements are always checked! side note, I now remember I should have also checked out the very expensive MBK watches (I got recently while I was in BKK) as those were the only ones (3-4 pieces that got sold/shipped out) I didn't check on ETA quality---had them silicon greased by my watchmaker etc but just gave a quick glance--- (mainly was I had very little time as I was in BKK while buying them in etc) and the PP NAUTISLUS is gonna be impossible to check so that one I have to go by the MBK's Word! I was told however by MBK that these were genuine ETA's. But better to double check once again so I will do so now even for MBK watches!! MY personal opinion (when I buy things or If I were a customer) that you just don't buy a watch you also buy their reputation. So your name is everything. Quality comes first. @ ROLEXMAN Yes some of the newer models they can only be had with either a COPY ETA or a NEW ETA.... but no second grade. What I'm stating is mostly for older models for instance rolex ETA driven so called 2836-2 offered at a 150-220 usd price range --- that didn't got a significant price raise as the original ETA movements prices went up significantly---, for the newer models the dealers automatically raise it quite high so there it would be "theoretically" possible that you receive a new ETA movement. But then again ---if you cannot garantee how the outside will look when it arrives to the customer than how can you garantee what is on the inside?! --one of the reasons I never dropship--- Rg Rolexman, (or should I say.... Groetjes
  24. Well ken, Actually I would like to only offer the nr 3 (new ETA) movement and I think ppl will come to me to get exactly that but if they willfully knowing fully well that they want a nr2 (second grade) or nr 1 movement (copy ETA) then I wouldn't mind as it less risk for me as the buy-in price is cheaper and I wouldn't make more or less on my profit on the overal price but that is at their own risks! But about your quote, the problem is that dealers are already offering you cheap prices for certain models and that is what you get cheap movements! (which is what they don't tell you). I know some dealers selling price is very very near my buy-in price for an nr 3 movement (new ETA) so what does that mean?! And I've been doing alot and alot of research and looking at competiters prices, as to see what I should offer them for. And if I would sell them at their price what profit would be made is left for me (after QC and shpiping etc, to see if it is worth even offering on the forum). What I've noticed is that they always have a certain consistant precentage which is for example 50 usd per watch if they sell it at a certain quoted price (if I would compare with my buy in prices). So lets say a dealer offers a watch for 100 usd, I can see from my record that it cost me 50 usd to buy in, so that means he makes at least 50 usd. Or it means that if I offer at the same price I would be making 50usd respectively. Then I see totally different watch also offered at 100 usd, also about 50 usd profit on a 100 usd watch. And so on and so on.... Nothing wrong with that. all are always 50 usd or more depening on the quoted price, the higher the quoted price the higher the risks so higher the profit ---percentage wise is almost always the same (i.e 50 usd profit on 100 usd watch, 100 usd profit on 200 usd, aka 50% is their profit) BUT THEN.... what i strangely noticed is that the ones with the so called ETA 3836-2 models, they offer it at 100 usd ----but then I see that my buy-in price is only 1. 50 usd for copy, 2. 75 usd for second hand ETA, 3. 90-95 usd for Real ETA movement??!? And I know my buy-in prices are not far from theirs, I don't believe that they would only make such a small profit as 10 usd on a 100 usd watch (10%), as all other models indicate 50 usd or more (50% profitmargin). The above are just to get the point across, the fig and percentage is just as example to illustrate what I'm trying to say. So what do you think that you will be getting?! Combined the low prices to natural logics and the extreem high prices ETA movements go for nowadays (The Zigmeister quotes 150 usd surplus ---200 usd new one, most likely the rep factories can get it cheaper than that but not unrealisticly cheaper) is it possible to get a new ETA mov at the quoted dealers price for some models !?!
