  1. 'cherrypicked' or not, my only "not perfect" replica came from Neil, which suposed to 'cherrypick' them. You had bad luck, that's all.
  2. I have no idea how German custom work, but I would simply print the invoice of the payment (paypal, western union or anything) and pay the 19% of that amount. Worst case, you will pay 19% of the price you paid for, not too bad...
  3. Fake... HEV is at 10 marker. Also, it's the Midsized version. The Gen don't have "Chronometer" marking on it. All fonts are bad.
  4. 7750 with second hand at 6 = time bomb. (sadly, I really like this watch too..)
  5. I'm in Canada, and 1/1.5 years ago, only River refused to ship to Canada. Josh, Andrew, Neil, Jay and Paul all had no problem with that. Like said, they don't care about replica, they only want to tax us to the death (6% + 8.5% taxes + 8% brokerage because it's a "Swiss" watch. Make the count, buying a Gen (or if they think your rep is gen) cost a LOT of money.) Look here for brokerage fees. (20% on Clothing and bags !) hxxp://www.aacb.com/tools/tariffguide.htm No question why we are the most taxed people in North America.
  6. nice strap.. Anyone know where to get them beside watchworx ? The brown Speedmaster would be a nice match for my Omega. I'm in love with many Di-Modell strap, but could enjoy being a little cheaper as for my recomandation: Chronissimo, Speedmaster, Jumbo and Chrono XT are very nice looking strap from Di-Modell
  7. You can see some real one here: Most impressive Tourbillon I have ever seen: (man this thing is hot)
  8. triplehd got my vote It's a Gen ? Mine isn't as "deep" (but it's an old ETA version I have. +2 years) I had no light today for picture.. it was just for fun.
  9. Just for fun, I took some simple SMP picture of the dial. (since many people seem to have problem getting the waves on a pictures)
  10. One of my friend wanted this watch, so before I give him I took few minutes to take picture of it. Some of you already seen this watch, but I wanted to have fun with my new camera. For those that always wanted to see what a fake tourbillon looked like, I made this small video. Maybe it could help some people to make their mind before buying one. Enjoy.
  11. Not illegal to buy, but they have the right to stop them at custom (in fact, it's their job) But usually, small package like envelope don't attract much attention. They look at the declaration papers to see if they can charge you something and that's all. But if you send a box, 80% of the time they will open it to see what is inside. Btw here is a good read: hxxp://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/fio/intellectual_e.htm Question 5: Possession of counterfeit items is not a criminal offence in Canada as long as there is no intent to distribute them. Also very interesting: Downloading music for personal use is currently not a criminal offence in Canada.
  12. The Zigmeister repair a lot of watch and he is in Canada. I don't think he have that much problem with customs. I personally never had problem either. I have a watch from a member in transit, I pray for it to get to my door, but I'm sure it will be ok.
  13. 8.0inch dead on.. So ( usually need a little more to be comfortable)
  14. - When you say to yourself: "Well, this one is a keeper. I want it to last for a while" - Rep dealer don't service watches. You have to find a watchsmith that is Rep friendly - Depend of the type of movement. It could go from $75 to 500$
  15. Not too bad for the movement. but would also need gen dial + gen hands... too expensive for that kind of watch. Yours look great. Don't think so. This one probably use Chinese Miyota OS10 Quartz while mine have a Swiss ISA 8161 Quartz (Some Maurice Lacroix Gen use this movement)
  16. US$1800-US$3000 for "ETA" rep... a shame
  17. Thanks. If you want to compare with the Gen: Quite close.
  18. Like By-Tor said, it's a Rep. Probably the best looking Aquaracer Rep available. I will sell it after holidays to buy some other watch (damn addiction..) P.S.: I would never pay $1700+ for a Tag Quartz gen
  19. Didn't had time to play with my new camera since today. Closeup picture isn't cropped.. Impressive Macro Lightning was very bad today.
  20. just by looking at the sub dials, you see it's an asian faux chrono movement.
  21. Better than most, but still some error. Like said, most of the images are badly re-sized. Web Site isn't optimised and it use table design (which you will learn to hate with time) The web site would enjoy being reprogrammed. PM me if you need help, I might have few spare time this week. (I'm web developer) The size of the Web site could be cut by 30% or 50% while looking same or better.
  22. Here is 4 done with my humble photoshop skill.
  23. Will send 1 or 2 logo just for fun (competition will be hard).. working on the first one (will post monday)
  24. Doesn't take a genius to see it's a Photoshoped picture.. badly made also. I can do better than that in 5 minutes.
  25. I don't think so. I bet it's Quartz. (Low light picture and the second hard isn't blurred ) Anyway, I would prefer a quarks Tag rep with fully working chrono than a cheap asian movement with non working chronos.
