Hi again.. Don't want to start a new topic on the same subject, so... I got the Course from offshore and now looking to buy the Tool kit. The course is mostly on the ETA 2804-2, but there is also one with ETA 6497-1. My question: If I take the ETA 6497-1, is it possible to get a Panerai Watch Case here and fit that movement in ? I know most use the ETA 6497, but is the ETA 6497-1 would do the trick ? If i'm to spend $300 on a toolkit, better spend few buck more and have a nice looking watch out of it Thanks

$340 ??? pricier than the auto ? hahahahaha
-
Miyota or ISA Quartz by subdial Placement.. (btw they are mis-labeled) But hey ! I like this watch, but not enough to spend $320 on it. It could be a fun watch for the price !
-
haha... Most of the narikaa Catalog could fit in this thread

Depend of the rep. Don't know what is yours, but if it's one below $100, I would let it be.. If you paid premium, the second hand is something that would definitely *** me off.. For the rest, well forget it But look like it's just lume, so an easy fix.
-
anton.. you are waaaaay overthinking
-
Try to find one like that: hint: no Automatic on the dial.. Couldn't believe that when I got it the ETA "2892" 007 SMP is probably the hardest to find.. GOOD Titanium Chrono Avenger is also impossible to find anymore.

Oh god please stop, that's torture ! I'm from Quebec/Canada, and in my town there is only one guy that do this and he is a complete idiot. So all my work goes to The Zigmeister.. Wish I would have a local watchsmith for small jobs. Guess I will try to learn myself

I just came back from Mexico where I have seen many crappy rolex. They were selling them for about 1500 pesos (~$140us) and more.. The kind of crap you get for $30 from Silix (and he make money out of it) Sadly, nothing good quality there

Navis are 42mm.. I have a big wrist and love mine.. Feel bigger because of the dial.

I offered a Gucci 6800 to a friend and she loved it. Quite cheap too. Same for a Cartier Tank Francaise. Both are so simple, the rep are basically perfect.
-
Damn you ! now I need to buy one Thanks for reference, I remove the half link of my SMP. that give an idea of the size.
-
argg lovely. Quick question: What is the size of the band? Wondering if my 8" wrist would love an HBB or not.

UPS rapes me on a montly basis (not with rep, but usual business) They are the worst. Fedex is a bit less costly, DHL too. USPS is the way to go. USPS is your local taxes + 5$.. others are taxes + variable fees (from 10$ to god-only-knows) Last week, UPS asked me $17 fees for an item of $20us. (and I already paid $70 for a $200 and $180 for a PDA of $200us) This is how stupid UPS can be. Don't forget, on "swiss made" watch (well any watch that is not Casio or Timex ) you have an extra 15% fees for import.. just correction, it's $20 CND not $25usd.. $50CND if there is the "gift" mark on the declaration. -
Hi I'm looking to start playing with watches a bit more seriously. The TimeZone Watch School look to be one of the only option (if you don't want to buy 20 books to start) and I was wondering what you were thinking about this ? The level one with tools and some extra is about $450 (a bit expensive) and the level 2 would be about the same. Do you have any other option ? something cheper ? Anyone used this courses to start ? Thanks

nice review thanks. Quick question: how long is the strap ? Having a 8" wrist, I wonder if I would be screwed or not
-
damn.. for a sec, I was sure I had to spend yet some more money Nice watch

Hi, I got a new RG IWC St Exupery from River that is DAO.. It's not a complain post (I still wait for a reply, but it's only been 2 days) but more a post of "what's wrong with it" I'm curious and would like to know. Movement is 7750 28.8k The watch don't work at all. If I try to manually winds it (over 80 turns) nothing happen. I can feel the friction when I winds. I can ear the rotor spinning (it's not as loud as my other 7750 through) The watch actually worked for 20 seconds after I put it on me.. but nothing since then (even if I try to spin the rotor) So watches expert. What do you think is wrong with it ? I haven't (and will not) open the cashback to see. There is marks on it (look like they had trouble screwing it at the factory) but that's all. On a side note, it's my first dead watch in 8... and it had to happen for a friend watch

First batch SMP ETA 2428 (a bit more than 3 years old now) My first rep Broad Arrow without Automatic on the dial, Seagull movement. I love it. Nearly 2 years old

Hi, I got a TT BCE today and after messing with the bracelet for over an hour, I came to the conclusion that I was surely an idiot Is there a trick to remove the bracelet ? I try to push the spring bars, but I only can get one side to get out of the hole. It's not the first bracelet that I remove, but this one is clearly harder than my omegas and my Navitimer. Tips ? Trick ? Should I just hide myself ? Thanks

Ok this is a bit useless post, but I'm a bit [censored]. Am I the only one that is sick of asking the question: "Is this model available" or "Is it in stock" and always getting a "yes" as reply and finally find you have to wait 3 to 12 weeks to get the watch ? I don't blame any dealer. I have done business with 7 "trusted dealer" here and on the other forum for the last 3 years, and 6 of them was this story.. Why always wait to be paid to know if a product is available or not? It's not too bad this time since Christmas is still far away (look like I learn from my experience), but when it's a gift, it's a bit sad. Sorry, it was my 2 cents of the night

What a brand new aquaracer should NOT look like...
