  1. The rubber strap joshua sells doesn't not fit well on the 4th gen or 5th or whatever. I was under the assumption that's what this entire "Test" was about to try this new version rep strap?
  2. Great Job... If it really fits good, PM me for one as well... 1.15mm spring bars?...
  3. pack, The first thing you did was to acquire the 20mm Omega rubber strap? Gen? At this particular point or minute, there are no correct 20mm omega rubber straps that fits the 4th gen, 5th gen P.O except the gen retailing at $250. Where did you get your rubber? //Cheers P.S Welcome to the site. I suggest as well going for the ETA movement as they will be around if you need parts.
  4. Any 20mm strap will work on the 4th gen. However, the PO is a big 42mm so it might need some umph to make your strap look just right on the wrist! Good Luck! //Cheers
  5. For the last month or so it seems I have to log in more often? I run two macs and always check the box "remember me" but it seems every three for days or so I have to log in. I have a firm IP all the time so I don't think it should be different. Any ideas? //Cheers
  6. We are all looking for a good version rubber rep strap for the 42mm P.O. I think hopefully in a few months we will have one. There are some people still trying new sources but as of today no real good option. http://www.rwg.cc/members/I-Need-Someone-I...rap-t20083.html
  7. Don't mean to hijack thread and I should probably already know this but I a also need a rubber strap for my 4th gen, 42mm w/ 20mm lugs. Over the last few months I have been told that no real good option was available but today browsing Joshuas site I noticed he is selling the rubber strap with the metal pin that supposedly goes into the case. Are there still no other good options for the 42mm than the gen? //Cheers
  8. He told me a little while back he had a car accident and was recouperating.
  9. QUOTE(flavor flav @ Jan 13 2007, 08:34 PM) i think i like it but i can't tell because the pic is so big. Yeah... Never really think about that anymore. Perhaps a resize would be in order or just get a 24" iMac? //Cheers
  10. I don't know how many straps I have been through for the Black/Orange Planet Ocean? I just never found anything that really worked except perhaps this one? A regular 20mm strap felt too thin on the wrist and then tapering even thinner by the wrist to 18mm just didn't cut it. How about this? (Orange permanent marker on the white stitch)
  11. Pretty good price and service here for the Di-Modell Chronissimo. US based! http://lonestarwatches.com/index.html
  12. Thanks for the feedback. Makes total sense. So... apparently from what I can tell some crowns come tight to the case and some "not so tight" but nothin really wrong, correct? This is something I don't think I can do so perhaps a service is needed whne this gets on my nerves. Thanks for the feedback on the GMT. It makes total sense now and I guess I did not read the instructions good enough to know that up is GMT and down was date. //Pete
  13. The Zigmeister, I received a beautiful new PAM63 the other day. I have never had a PAM with 2836-2 before and quite honestly this was the main reason I got another PAM. Forgive me if this sounds like a silly question but when I unlock the lever the crown basically "springs" out a little bit as opposed to unscrewing the crown on other "popular" cases? It also doesn't sit just flat against the case when the lever is snapped down but I guess this is normal? At this point I can wind it and if I click one more step I set the date. If I click one more I think it is supposed to set the GMT, and the final step sets the time. I am having a hard time setting the GMT arm because it doesn't seem to work right. I assume that having a GMT function one handle is supposed to show another time zone? My family lives in Europe so I wanted to set their zone for 7 hours ahead. I did that initially but it doesn't seem that it wants to work as the GMT doesn't follow the time correctly. I am not sure but I might just set the whole thing wrong? Normal behaviour...?

  15. Same thing happened to my friends 212. Sitting in a meeting and he just heard a pop. He looked down at his watch and the crystal just fell of the watch. I found a replacement crystal from Andrew. //Cheers
  16. Not to be hijacking the thread but a friend of mine lost his bezel insert on his sub. I ordered him a replacement and wanted to know if there was a certain way you position and glue these back on in comparison to the bezel itself?
  17. A couple of years ago I did a google search to research what brand James Bond was wearing in the latest flick. Through my clicking I ended up on several forums and replika sites that discussed and offered beautiful watches. I joined a few of them and asked the normal questions 'who had the best sub'. After being slammed as usual I finally started to read and research what I was trying to do. Now, a few years later, I sit here as a suppporter with plenty of great quality timepieces and knowledge. I still consider myself a newbie and don't know a great deal about the internals of our movements, but I am learning. When I first joined the forum a while back I thought I joined one forum and then something changed... and I guess I ended up on another forum? I still don't know what happened nor have I asked any questions of why. Recently I have noticed more and more, that some members are posting links to other forums which I do follow and read. I am not sure if this is good or bad as I see the 'tension' between our sites. Furthermore, I do notice that 'some' members of this forum cross 'other' forums all the time, and 'some' members don't cross at all. I hope I am not asking the wrong question but 'A long time ago' were we all friends in the same forum? For some reason I tend to stick to this board. Members here are mostly nice and polite and usually answer PM's in a nice manner, even though I know they don't have to. In the end, I really like it here. Either way, back to my point. I agree with the first poster on management of dealers. //Cheers
  18. Weekend Yard Duty, Omega PO on Timefactors Rhino.
  19. Hopefully this belongs in this section. I am still on the hunt for some good strap alternatives for the smaller Planet Ocean (20mm). I think like most others the 20mm straps just feels puny on the wrist. I don't at all mind the gap between the lugs but I do mind the "small size" that it produces on the wrist. I have been buying different strap alternatives such as thick, double ridged, and more but I have come to the conclusion that I think it is the width that need to change. Has anyone installed a wide "divers" strap on theirs similar to these? If so, does it fit good and post your pics and links: //Cheers http://www.watchstrapsuk.com/product_info....;products_id=99 http://www.watchstrapsuk.com/product_info....;products_id=84
  20. Greetings, A friend of mine shattered his Crystal/Glass on his new PAM212. I think he must have hit it somewhere in a corner but he explained that he was sitting in a meeting and heard a pop, looked down and the glass comlpetely fell over. Where can I find a new crystal for a 212? I am not a complete rookie, but if I do find a source, what is required of me to install this and is this something someone I can do? //Cheers
  21. Joe, Thanks for the feedback. The watch works perfectly fine. Unscrew [winds] 1st click [date] and second click [time]. Are you just saying that the stem is probably a little bit too short but it won't make any real difference to the movement? What I mean is that this is probably not a defect, correct? //Cheers
  22. Greetings, I received a new watch the other day with a 2824-2 movement. Forgive me if I don't know the correct terminolgy for this but when I unscrew the crown, this time it doesn't have the normal "spring" type of jump out. The watch works pefect and I don't think anything is wrong but all my other ETA movements has this "springy" type of motion when I unscrew the crown and then you have to put slight pressure on it to screw it back on. Ideas; Is it just missing some type of unneeded part? //Cheers
  23. UPDATE... I was asked by my dealer to send this watch back for repair. They had it for about three weeks and it just arrived a couple of days ago with unfortunately no real improvement hence my dilemma. It still runs about 8-10 seconds too fast per hour. At this point I am kind of afraid that something might be wrong with the movement? Do I contact my dealer again and explain not much was fixed or do I just take the hit? I have bought about 8 watches from him with no particular problems and I don't want to cause any problems since he goes above and beyond most others. Ideas?
