  1. I get these NATO's sent to me as well from Eddie. They are soft yet very sturdy, bead-blasted stainless steel to match our "rugged" watches. Excellent!
  2. @ TWP & above Can't find the speck anymore for some reason. I guess I wiggled my watch and it disappeared into thin air! I never really intended to do anything about it as but I just wanted someone to confirm my insanity as I think this obsessive hobby is driving me nuts. //Cheers
  3. Greetings, I had to get one of these as well and I must say it looks great. I have had mine now for 24 hrs and I actually noticed a small speck of black dust on the dial. (It looks like a particle and not something wrong with the dial.) I have had fairly good luck over the last few years with watches and I have only had to send a few back, but I am not sure if I am getting pickier or if this is nothing? I am not really great at taking the insides apart and I think I would do more harm than not, but should I let this go? //Cheers
  4. Has anyone found a source that sells true NATO straps in orange with stainless fittings with the extra flap to protect the watch? I understand that we can find the single Zulu and no-name orange nylon straps all over the net but the only real solution I have found that sells a NATO would be eddie @ Timefactors. However, these are with black fittings and really a little bit too heavy or thick for the watch I am needing it for. I found one store in Beverly Hills that sells an orange NATO with stainless fittings but that one was over $175 and I don't think I even want to go swimming with that! //Cheers
  5. Where are the stats that most watches shipped to T*xas gets snagged? I have ordered 18 in the last few years and between myself and my friends around here, none have ever been confiscated, knock on wood. Moreover, does someone actually think that because the final address reads Texas, that should flag the package at SF customs?
  6. Citizen Eco-Drive Diver or Seiko Monster. Can't break either!
  7. That damn avatar always makes me linger a little bit!
  8. I am not the greatest at using RSS but it seems that everytime I subscribe to the RSS feed from the index it subscribes to the general section only? Am I doing something wrong?
  9. Ahh.. Didn't read close enough!
  10. I bought one a couple of months ago. I will take some wristshots. For me, it's not one I wear all the time like my other ones but I do like it. I think it has something to do with the strap and it just doesn't "size" right on the wrist as it moves around and it is a big watch. //Cheers Ohhh.... and I know this sounds crazy but the buckle is wide which makes it a tough fit in the old winder. I know, silly, but every time I take it out I think twice becasue I have to put it back in later.
  11. Well, I reset the main forum index lilke the other user and bookmarked that page. Works fine now. //Cheers
  12. Greetings, Since I have all macs, I have noticed a slight change in the last few weeks. Every time I "go back" to the main forum my cursor hangs for 5-6 seconds. Fairly annoying! Anybody else seeing this using a mac? I know we have bigger problems to deal with but I was just curious! //Pete
  13. Watched the show tonight! For someone like myself this was a great show and I learned alot. To many people in this forum talk about "this or that" but for someone like myself that can admit I do not know toom much, this show used techniques with the camera to show you what everyone is talking about. Now I know exactly where the balance wheel and hairspring reside! //Cheers P.S It doesn't hurt pumping this out in 1080i HD either!
  14. Oh Boy... this review put me over the edge now. Time to go shopping, again!
  15. Amazing what a simple and working solution this was. Much appreciated Usil! //Cheers
  16. Greetings, I received a couple of more watches in the mail today and all the autos were beautiful. I also ordered an inxepensive quartz chrono as a beater but unfortunately the chrono doesn't reset to zero, just a couple of ticks to the left. Is there anything I can try to do to reset them or is this something my local watch guy needs to do?
  17. The problem with this forum is the constant wants and needs of its users like myself. I few days ago I thought I was done with my quality over quantity collection. I never even visited the Breitling section before today as I didn't care for the "blingy look" of the brand itself. However, after checking out the pictures of this steelfish with white face and brown strap, I need to add one to my collection as well... Dang!
  18. The ultimate 45 PO is 22mm at the lugs and the 42mm PO is 20mm at the lugs. Good choice for the ultimate here! //Cheers
  19. Which Seiko Auto Model number is this one? Newest model? I have been looking at getting one of these Seiko automatics as well since I like the design but even more it seems the reputation and quality of these are good. Furthermore, it doesn't hurt that you can get one of these off the bay for a pretrty good price. //Cheers
  20. I have mostly worn my Planet Ocean with leather and rubber straps but every so often I like to change back to the original comfortable bracelet. Today was actually my first time fitting the bracelet on this model and man was it difficult to fit those spring bars inside the lug holes? If I didn't know any better they were drilled a little bit too far back so in the end I actually had to use a set of smaller spring bars and bend them back a little bit to make the thing work. Anybody else had this problem on yours? Can I drill a slightly larger hole through the bracelet since that area is fixed? //Cheers
