The same day I bought my GEN Carrera I tried the Sub as well. It was the "real" thing and felt way better than the rep I bought to try it out. I have one saying that follows my life for everything: "You always get what you pay". Sure reps are good to try a watch (for a period of time) if it's right for you, but I can't wear a rep and feel OK. I always feel like I make a fool of myself. Well that's me anyway! My new Carrera, loving it!

Wanted a GEN with bracelet for quite some time and finally had the chance for a good deal on a brand new Carrera. It's a lovely watch and looks ok on my wrist compared to my 112. Some quick shots: Next to my GEN 112:

I own a GEN 112 right now and still cannot justify the $1200 for a hand wind movement (which is innacurate to see as well). I can see the point of having a rep at $1000 with ETA 7753 reasonable enough, but not a rep at $1200 with ETA 6497!

So what would be an estimate price of a "perfect" base 111, 112 etc.? DSN's Swiss ETA 111 or 112 etc. $450.00 LH's top plate dial $250.00 V's CG $200.00 T-60's crown $50.00 Relume and assemply $200.00 We are talking nearly to $1200.00 and still have a rep. I don't think it's worth it!

So all it's left is a 1:1 case and the "perfect" base PAM is almost done.

LH's dial is pretty perfect to my eyes... for your viewing pleasure here is next to my GEN 112!
