marc jacobs Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 This is my third time build a project with yuki. So I've decided to level up build a chrono rolex daytona 6263. The serviced Valjioux 72 movement also come from yuki. Complete watch look nice, i love the silver dial, simple, elegance and classic.
vlaletom Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Looks good Did you assemble it, or is it a service provided by Yuki ?
alligoat Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 The V72 movement looks nice also! I'd love to hear what all Yuki did. It's a beautiful watch.

Is it possible to brake down the cost of such a project? Thanks.
JoJo35 Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 Beautiful job! I've got a gen insert and dial if you might consider upgrading
marc jacobs Posted September 16, 2009 Author Report Posted September 16, 2009 Looks good Did you assemble it, or is it a service provided by Yuki ? The watch is assemble by myself, yuki just sold the parts.

tomhorn Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 All of these Daytona builds are killing me ... too many projects I want to start at once ...
roliroli Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 Question to the pro's: just exlored yukis's site: which kind of 6263 daytona case is more accurate: DW or Yuki? Any experience with that? Thanks, roli
freddy333 Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 I have never handled Yuki's 62xx Daytona cases, but the only real issue with DW's are their lack of engraved serial & model numbers between the lugs (the numbers are there, but they are laser etched, which is wrong for Rolex). The basic shape/dimensions of DW's middle case/caseback are nearly spot-on. Of course, QC is effectively non-existent, so variations do exist.
theblueprince Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 (edited) Awesome work. I too have a DW6263 case and am now going to put a V72 in it I picked up a GEN NOS Lizard to wear mine on (also have gen bracelet but didn't like it on that) It has GEN - Tropic T21, crown/tube, pushers, strap at the moment. OmegaPOFL Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 damn that looks nice... really nice!
theblueprince Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 Thanks To the OP - did you get the dial and handset from Yuki too?

DW can also supply engraved cases, but they cost considerably more than the laser etched ones.
Guest avitt Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 @TBP, that's a fantastic combo with the strap. (I plan to go with a perforated racing strap on my third, and last, Daytona...a white PN.) What is in your watch now? A mystery movement?
theblueprince Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 (edited) It's got a Spin serviced/modded 7760 at the moment. White PN and perf race strap would look cool for sure. I don't think 626X's look at all sporty unless they have the exotic dials so i was trying to move it more towards vintage dressy with the lizard. Edited September 24, 2009 by TheBluePrince
mellus Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 Hi Marc, very, very nice watch I am just doing the same project ... MBW 6263, 726 movement CERTINA, Wong-Dial (2nd one)
freddy333 Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 Mellus - What is the source of the 1st dial (the white non-Oyster Newman & red minute tracks)?
mellus Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 Freddy - you like it ... Me too. Unfortunately its a gen one.
freddy333 Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 Freddy - you like it ... Me too. Unfortunately its a gen one. I suspected as much. But, having just discovered the existence of an accurate 7206 bracelet (available, as it turns out, for quite some time even though its existence was anything but common knowledge within RWG circles), I was hoping you had discovered a Newman dial of similar quality. An accurate Newman would be very welcome news since all of the aftermarket dials contain a number of mistakes, most egregious of these being the missing 'tail' on the minute totalizer's 3. This, for me, is the most telling identifier of all aftermarket dials & the 1 thing that never fails to make me wince
