MADRED7 Posted September 20, 2009 Author Report Posted September 20, 2009 Thx for the good advise....here is the rest (part of) the family: Theo
chubbchubb Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 Great watch Theo. But say, don't you ever get tired of AP's?
arminvanbuuren Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 hey dude... on trustytime's page it says that the bezel is made out of carbon fibre.. is this true?
StormTooper4 Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 Very nice so which is the Fav ST4
MADRED7 Posted September 21, 2009 Author Report Posted September 21, 2009 Very nice so which is the Fav ST4 My favorite is allways my newest watch....but my 2 ALLTIME favorites are the grey dialed rubberclad and the RB2. Theo
MADRED7 Posted September 21, 2009 Author Report Posted September 21, 2009 hey dude... on trustytime's page it says that the bezel is made out of carbon fibre.. is this true? Complete case is made of stainless steel....bezel as well. Seams that Andrew has a mistake in his discribtion. I have to work on the deployant cause this should be just stainless steel without PVD....only the outer clasp with AP insignia should be PVD! But all in all a wonderful dark and mysterious watch. Theo
bosk Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 thanks for the pics....this is going to have to be my next purchase.
colorao Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Thanks by pictures Theo, I always enjoy with they. Very nice, and yes RB is increible. I don
MADRED7 Posted September 21, 2009 Author Report Posted September 21, 2009 My last 3 sec@12 were outstanding and reliable out of the box. But as I stated elswhere....calculate a movement service into your buying-price. ....and with the SAFARI you have to calculate a new strap as well (the brown-color rep-croco is from minor quality) Theo
arminvanbuuren Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 to be honest this is by far my favourite audemars piguet.. it kinda has that black widow spider look to it. very sexy.. how much does the gen of this cost?
Rolexfinder Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Nice collection, mate. You are an real AP fan. Cheers, Paul
jdkno Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 how much does the gen of this cost? Somewhere around $30K
MADRED7 Posted September 22, 2009 Author Report Posted September 22, 2009 Nice collection, mate. You are an real AP fan. Cheers, Paul Paul....and YOU DO KNOW about that Cheers mate, Theo
bosk Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 yes...the gen is around 26-30K but I wonder if it can appreciate like the EOD and the RO chrono New York.
arminvanbuuren Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 well it does kind of look like the eod.. to b honest i like the red better than the yellow.. and i would think ppl would like red better.. and it is more limited in number than the eod.. hopefully it'll appreciate more than the eod.. this is my favourite by far.. i mean 30k is already similar to that of eod whos hovering at around 45k
Jon Martin Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 well it does kind of look like the eod.. to b honest i like the red better than the yellow.. and i would think ppl would like red better.. and it is more limited in number than the eod.. hopefully it'll appreciate more than the eod.. this is my favourite by far.. i mean 30k is already similar to that of eod whos hovering at around 45k took the words right out of my mouth.
allonblack Posted June 26, 2012 Report Posted June 26, 2012 Beautiful collection! I wasn't a huge AP fan, but lately that's been changing. I'm dying for an EoD!
Legend Posted June 26, 2012 Report Posted June 26, 2012 The APs reps are beautiful watches, concerns with detail accuracy aside. The more recent sec@12 movements have also been improved somewhat, making them much more reliable. I think more buyers will be drawn into buying APs as the quality, accuracy and movement evolve.
