1665 Date wheel search

I’m building a new 1665 GW comprising

MBW Case

MBW Great White Dial

2846

Clark superdome

Gen Crown and tube

Etc. Etc.

All I need now is a date wheel. I have been searching for months for a Gen 6694 date wheel with no luck. What is the best actual, available, buyable date wheel option.

I am thinking my only hope would be Chris at Eurotimez with an MBW type.

You could also PM me if you have anything interesting.

Cheers

The 6694 datewheel is a new on me. I guess it has the same ETA progression and the flat-top 3's and open 6's and 9's, but is it on a silver background?

slartiblast was doing a transfer project a few months back- the correct 1570 datewheel on a silver background- don't know what happened.

My first rep from Paul was a DRSD and it had a silver datewheel, round-top 3's and open 6's and 9's- not too really bad for a GWSD

My WM 1680 (basically an MBW) has the white wheel w/ the open 6's and 9's, roundtop 3's, it doesn't bother me anymore.

Old datewheels with open 6's and 9's have pretty much disappeared, except on cheap reps.

Slarti might be someone to chat with.

Ironicaly Libby, I have a 1966 gen 1500 witha white datewheel- closed 6's and 9's and round top 3's. Movement is the 1575. Don't know if the datewheel is original or not. I personally don't think Rolex cares as much about the datewheels as us OCD collectors.

When the Rolex Mountain Elves stepped outside for a little smoke and accordian music, Hans asked them for the Rolex Official Opinion of the never-ending silver datewheel search.

Funny, those Rolex guys....

I don't remember if my old 6694 had rounded three's or not.
