valerian
Hi everyone Going on a trip to Hong Kong and Thailand next week. I'm thinking about getting a bespoke linen suit in Hong Kong. Are there any HK savvy members here who can recommend a tailor from personal expercience? Thanks a bunch! Val.

Agrippa
You might want to consider getting the suit in Thailand as well, as there is no shortage of competent (most often Indian) tailors there. One good shop in Bangkok is (or used to be at least) Boss Apparels, close to the National Stadium skytrain stop. I was told by British expats I met that it was where they got their clothes made and personally I was very happy with my purchase of some linen shirts and a linen suit. Not rock bottom prices, but more than fair compared to Europe and very laid back and competent staff. Might be worth a look.
KB
Tomorrow now Val As Agrippa says Thailand is also a good option, friends of mine traveled there and the son (very fashion conscious) bought 3 Bespoke suits. I saw them and they were all excellent quality, I can't remember how much he paid but they were very cheap. Ken
Jimster
I've dealt with Joe Hemrajani for 20 years. He's very traditional and uses only the finest fabrics. His brother runs the shop. My tailor
valerian
Guys, thanks very much for the hints! Looking forward to talk to these tailors. Kind regards Val.
Member X
I was looking at this a while ago and Jantzen was seemingly a good bet if you're buying off the internet, but better if you can get sized while you're over there as then the sizes are accurate! slay
Paid around 300Euro for 1 business suit with vest&shirt and one smoking (tuxedo) with shirt. Picked the fabrics myself, could have probably had it for 100 or 150 less if I had chosen different fabrics! Bought it at MBK (in bangkok), http://m1mbk.com
danander11
I haven't used Sam (yet), but when we go to HK end of the year I will get at least one suit made by him just to say that I did. Sams Tailors ( http://www.samstailor.biz/ ) is probably one of the best. From what I've heard his prices are better than you would think. Good luck and let us know how it went.. djscotie
I used Sams Taylor in Hong Kong when I was there last March. Its the true 24hr suit experience and he has a great range of fabrics. I visited two other taylors before going to Sam's and the fabrics offered to me were rubbish! Sam's is great place steeped in history with pictures of Sam with a whole host of Celeb clients. Dont be afraid to haggle though, I halved the price of my suit and shirt

DawnJohny
You can try David Fashions in the Hong Kong for tailoring suits. His styles, designs, fabrics are fantastic.I also bought many suits from him fir his styles, designs and fabrics. vootzilla
Its pretty cheap here in Bangkok for tailored shirts and suits. To me, design pattern is not super modern type. More of typical design but u can select anything u want from collar to cuff. Most importantly, its kinda cheap and neat.
