elisiX Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Hi All, Got this one today to see how I like it - so far I do. A couple pics taken this afternoon. Rolex DSSD.
Demsey Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Great. This is a very photogenic watch. Too bad 'TTK' fell away on the eve of this one. Cheers!
jmb Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Looks good! I still can't get over how massive the DSSD is.
Guest techlogik Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 (edited) Source? Nice photos and work... Wait...let me guess...Eurotimez? Edited November 2, 2009 by techlogik

Edwin25 Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Great. This is a very photogenic watch. Too bad 'TTK' fell away on the eve of this one. Cheers! Hi Demsey. How do you mean? I don't get the link "TTK" and DSSD. elisiX : source : Eurotimez? E.
chubbchubb Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Hi Demsey. How do you mean? I don't get the link "TTK" and DSSD. elisiX : source : Eurotimez? E. Dems was referring to TTK's photographic skills....
Jack1024 Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Is this one a gen? The lume and beveled dw are just too good.
Edwin25 Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Is this one a gen? The lume and beveled dw are just too good. Indeed.. the lume is 2 good... Or it's The Zigmeisterfied or Vaclumed. But indeed.. it's 2 good for a factory lume.. E.
Jack1024 Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 The pearl and markers are also just way too perfect. I'm calling it... GEN
Jack1024 Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 The bright white of the steel.... same deal. 316L just doesn't look that white in photos.
Jack1024 Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Where is that Giormani character when we need him most?
Edwin25 Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Where is that Giormani character when we need him most?
elisiX Posted November 2, 2009 Author Report Posted November 2, 2009 (edited) Guys this is a Vac build V5 from Eurotimez afaik. (painted bezel, serviced, lume - NO AR) Borrowed it off a friend yesterday. Bracelet has been oiled and the watch is fully sealed. It's a killer watch. My only gripe is the massively distorted crystal. Edited November 2, 2009 by elisiX
Jack1024 Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Vac is the man! Where does he get the pearls? I have yet to see another one that was correct.
Jack1024 Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 Well... Now you've got me talking to vac. I have been on the fence about this one. I'm officially off the fence.
Jkay Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 The bright white of the steel.... same deal. 316L just doesn't look that white in photos. Whoops! Hehe .. you'll find that "bright steel" is a myth, my friend. Many times here people hold gen and rep together and they look the same. This is a re-lumed V5 or I'm a shaved ape. edit: whoops .. I should read the entire thread before babbling .. I see it's already been confirmed. edit x2: another tell is the re-lume .. the large markers are domed now, instead of flat as they should be. You can't scrape the old lume out, so you have to make pretty little dome out of the new lume. Same as my Ziggy re-lume'd v5
gioarmani Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 (edited) The pearl and markers are also just way too perfect. I'm calling it... GEN The bright white of the steel.... same deal. 316L just doesn't look that white in photos. Where is that Giormani character when we need him most? Somebody's got a bit more reading to do... I've been staying at the Dolphin in Orlando since Friday hitting up the EPCOT food & wine festival for the gf's b-day. Edited November 3, 2009 by gioarmani
Demsey Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 the Dolphin in Orlando How is it? I've never been. Tried the Gaylord Palms recently. Familiar? Gorgeous property, disappointing experience. The management needs a 'ground up'. Pity. HBD to our 'new' fav watch model. Have fun!
mastrmindalliance Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 Here's a really blurry shot of josh's ultimate, stock lume and uncharged - just wearing it indoors and taken in a dark corner Not sure why they say it's greeny-blue cos mine isn't. Though I will also have ETZ's V5 to compare when it arrives:
Jack1024 Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 (edited) Somebody's got a bit more reading to do... I bow to the master of the Deepsea. Does that make you Triton? Edited November 4, 2009 by Jack1024
