Rolex GMT-Master II 16710

Recommended Posts

Noobfactory GMT-master II 16710 as base model (most sellers carry them).

GEN ETA 2836-2 with GMT ICS module.

GEN twinlock 6mm crown.

After market tube from Ofrei.

After market insert from luxurydeals8 at ebay.

All mods done by me, it is true that cg's are oversanded because of a really bad mod job done before (I've done my best to fix it).

Thank you for your compliments guys! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Fantastic craftsmanship, what is your "micro-mill"? I have a small rotary table ordered for my mill (it just shipped) and I am contemplating building a case from scratch. If anybody has some "engineering drawings" for a Submariner case I would be very interested. I don't see why an exact copy couldn't be made that would at least be interchangeable with Gen. Of course, without CNC it might be cost prohibitive but ya never know unless ya try!

I do like Proxxon products, it's a german company who manufactures hobbycraft tools, this is my current stuff, nothing special:

Proxxon Micromot Precision Drill/Grinder 100W-12V 5.000-2.000 rpm

Proxxon Micromot 40/E 40W-12V 3.000-15.000 rpm

Proxxon Drill Stand MB 140/S

Proxxon Micro Compoun Table KT 70

Proxxon Machine Vice MS4

Thanks to everyone for your compliments, specially to V. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Nice work. I'm beginning (thinking about it at least ) the same project on a Noob Explorer. Assume you used a 24-603 crown ( which I have already ) with the bigger 24-2553 tube assembly. Would the smaller 24-6020 tube have fit without drilling? Any words of wisdom on drilling the case? What size drill bit etc.

Thanks
