No more PP gift

I tried to send BK a PP Gift and there is a charge now. I figured that wouldn't last.

ya, i'm not sure what's up with that? sometimes i get charged a small fee and other times nothing. who knows?

I think it has to do with the number of gifts you give per month. Think it is listed in the Paypal site somewhere.

I am charged for gift payments if payment is done from CC, whenever I paid from my PP balance I didn't get charged.

I paid BK for the two tones, now the long wait. He told me the SD will be out in June.

I get charged more often than not, no matter the source and the fee has no consistency in terms of the size of the gift sent

Yeah i got charged from CC and even when i setup direct debit and had funds on the pp account too! Maybe its diff for UK / US etc?

I get charged like 85 cents.. not a bad turn around ..imo..

I have been charged a fee depending on the source but If i'm not charged a fee the exchange rate is not as favourable as the non gift method.

Not only do they charge for everything under the sun, but their exchange rates are f*cking ludicrous. They have to be literally swimming in money.

Don't use Gift...just use Personal, money owed, or another one, they don't put a fee on any of those too from what I have seen.

Personally I have no issue with them charging for their services as long as they are clearly specified, or obviously said services would be non-existant. What I object to as underhanded and devious is their inflated exchange rates, which likely makes them as much money as the charges do.
