deniz21 Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 hey guys i asked myself a lot what would be the best and nicest drivers watch, a watch who perfect matches that category.. who looks bad, nice and sporty.. perfect for a sunday road trip or somethin.. show us your thougts and at the end we choose the ultimate RWG drivers watch conditions are, the watch must be available as a rep, preferd good reps of course and with your post you can give your count, for any watch you like...but pleasye no milgauss votes in this one and at the end i count them together and we have our decision my candidates is HBB ayrton senna i hope lani you have nothing agains using your pic votes so far 1 HHB Ayrton Senna 2 Rolex Daytona 1 Monaco 1 ZX1
TeeJay Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 Not exactly a rep, but this is pretty cool
deniz21 Posted February 22, 2010 Author Report Posted February 22, 2010 hey bro ZX 1 yeah thats definintly a drivers watch, hardcore only needs another strap
TeeJay Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 hey bro ZX 1 yeah thats definintly a drivers watch, hardcore only needs another strap I thought you might appreciate that one As you say, a decent leather strap, and it'd definitely look the business
hiker01 Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 Well.....the Daytonas are for driving......and driving fast, as the name implies, so here are my votes: Happy Drivin!
By-Tor Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 Daytona of course. But how could you forget Monaco?
TeeJay Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 Daytona of course. But how could you forget Monaco? :thumbsupsmileyanim: I just had an idea... Would the movement from a rep Monaco, be a compatible transplant into a Tudor Monte Carlo?
chris5264 Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 Sinn U1,,,,,,the rep was so close I had to look carefully at my gen to make sure it was indeed a gen....this thing actually makes you want to learn how to really dive.... opps...how funny,,,I had dive watches on the mind.....and so I thought it was for a dive watch....not drive watch....I kept thinking....those aren't good dive watches...strange...
deniz21 Posted February 22, 2010 Author Report Posted February 22, 2010 yeah thats for sure a nice watch, and i think with rights and attributes to stay here too
By-Tor Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 :thumbsupsmileyanim: I just had an idea... Would the movement from a rep Monaco, be a compatible transplant into a Tudor Monte Carlo? I don't know but I actually wouldn't mind a good Monaco rep with frozen stopwatch. Damn it's a great watch.
lanikai Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 . . I was thinking .. wow... first time I aw that pic of the AS.. wonder who took it.. the Ultimate watch will be the one you yourself choose as your fave.. AC/Lani
ThinkBachs Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 the Ultimate watch will be the one you yourself choose as your fave.. AC/Lani Lani is THE most politically correct person I know. If we were to see a photo of him, I would imagine he'd look like a giant teddy bear with muscleman arms...
Panther917 Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 How 'bout the VC 1921 for a little retro look? You'd never have to take your hand off the wheel... Interesting article on forbes.com link to forbes article The rep version
TeeJay Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 I don't know but I actually wouldn't mind a good Monaco rep with frozen stopwatch. Damn it's a great watch. It's a tasty piece for sure, and a design classic The thing which made me wonder about the possibility of a movement transplant, is that on the reps, the crown is at the 3 position, and seeing the date window at 6, it got me wondering about if the movement mght fit to the Monte Carlo dial
Panther917 Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Of course, the Chopard racing series, I'm partial to the GTXL, complete with tire track strap and fuel gauge power reserve.
redwatch Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 The Amida Digitrend (which was recently for sale in the Gen Watches forum) Maybe not the ultimate, but interesting!
maxman Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 I like the Panerai Ferrari gran tourismo, the sub dials look exactly like speedo and RPM gauges. Mike
Lumpy1186 Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 I think This has to be the ultimate Drivers watch.
OSRep Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Felippe Massas RM011 - around 50,000EURO Juan Pablo wears this I think.....AP!
valerian Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 The more I think about it the more I think that this: must be the ultimate driver's watch. Regardless of the fact that it is called the "Moonwatch" it was designed for speed driving and measuring your progress in mileage. Definitely not for flying into space. Val.
TeeJay Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 This would be another suggestion... Ventura V-Tec Sigma
Mercury Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 That Aston Martin DBS watch is pretty good, the Rolex Daytona.
