Pugwash
http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/2010/3/3/announcing-the-tissot-visodate-1957-a-vintage-inspired-stunn.html Wait, a 40mm ETA-powered Swiss watch with a sapphire-crystal for $500 and it looks good? And it's a Tissot? I'm in shock. A hint of Omega about it, too. Not even worth repping at that price. I may have to get a Visodate. Steel, ETA 2836 and sapphire? Yummy. dovo1695
Wow! That seems like a really good deal. Is $500 the retail price or just a particularly good deal? I don't typically like Tissot but I definitely like that one!
KB
Actually I think it looks like a Seiko I once owned. And that wouldn't surprise me as Tissot will copy anything, still yeah nice watch. Ken

HauteHippie
Actually I think it looks like a Seiko I once owned. I guess I see a little Omega in it too. The 3:00 day/date says Seiko to me though as well.

Actually this kind of watch could say pretty much ANYTHING on the dial. It's very traditional, basic design. Very classy combo with that violet/brown strap. I'm not into this type of dress watches but Pugs is a bit older so it might suit him. Seriously, great price, classy watch.
Pugwash
Seriously, great price, classy watch. And if £355 is too expensive, Jura are doing an ETA2824-powered 42mm Archimede Pilot for £299. http://www.jurawatches.co.uk/watch.asp?productid=16555 Seems like there is a good side to the credit crunch.
