casanile Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 Here is the caseback after wearing the watch 15 days. I swear I didn't scratch it. After two monthes, the crown broke, that's the usual issue on reps so no big deal... I mailed Neo to inform him about the caseback. He told me that he maybe could change it. But since I sent him the pic, he never answered me... What do you think about that kind of flaw and do you think that ETZ wille stay in stealth mode ?
PowerShot Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 I've got the same thing on mine also, It's a DSSD V5.
bundamania Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 It looks like someone tried to play Tick-Tac-Toe on the back with a carving knife !
panerai153 Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 Looks like a crappy paint job on the "Faux" titanium caseback. Wonder if it would be possible to get those powder coated or PVD'ed with a grey finish?
casanile Posted May 30, 2010 Author Report Posted May 30, 2010 Still no news from ETZ after several mails... Does anyone knows if I could order a spare one from another real trusted dealer... And furthemore if it will fit?
asciwhite Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 I also have problems getting in touch with ETz at the moment F`n annoying!!
plaifender Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 ETZ sounds like nothing but trouble these days......
Big Dazza Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 ETZ sounds like nothing but trouble these days...... do any of the dssd reps come with a reali titanium caseback?
casanile Posted May 30, 2010 Author Report Posted May 30, 2010 do any of the dssd reps come with a reali titanium caseback? I don't think so... Edit: I forgot, Domenico tested it successfully at 7 atm... Not bad.
Epanoui Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 I have the same problem with mine, also a ET v5
HR911 Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 Guys, I also have a Eurotimez DSSD V5 I bought last year and this happened to me too. There is a simple fix to this which I did at the weekend. - Unscrew the caseback - Put the centre case back (the grey bit) into the oven for about 3 minutes to heat it up - Take it out and let it cool down to a slightly warm - Spray dark grey car primer on it (it's nearly exactly the same colour) - Put it back in the oven at 250 temp and let it cure for 10 mins - Take it out of the oven and let it cool and then put back on the watch And there you have it!....it's really that simple
casanile Posted June 2, 2010 Author Report Posted June 2, 2010 Thanks mate, I was just thinking about painting this part with a spray for titanium Light alloy wheels. I'm considering the primer now.
Jkay Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 Those scratches are from the watch resting on it's own clasp when you are not wearing it. I have the same marks on mine. Look at the clasp and the case back and you'll see they look alike.
casanile Posted June 3, 2010 Author Report Posted June 3, 2010 Obvious!! Why I didn't see that? Thanks... Still learning...
PolonusTM Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 do any of the dssd reps come with a reali titanium caseback? Ultimate from Joshua - that's real titanium and in proper cone-like shape.
