wisrep2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 Since I rejoined this wonderful forum just a couple of days ago - I wanted to share my past collection of replicas - be warned though since this might take a while to load :-) The first replica I ever bought was a VC Dual Time Regulator - if I recall correctly I paid under $100 for this one - the dealer has long vanished - bought in 2005 Next up was a Panerai 111E - I still have this watch and it still runs strong - had a real Unitas movement without any of the typical Panerai bridge mods - also 2005 Here are the rest of the watches that I bought from 2005 to 2007 Panerai PAM063 Panerai Daylight Chrono PAM196 with Swiss 7750 - this case is no longer produced and had the correct bezel The same 196 after mod (Palp Crown and lume)- Super Luminova is really bright :-) Panerai Flyback 1950 - PAM212 with Swiss 7750 ...after Super Luminova treatment... Panerai Arktos - PAM092 - the first version with incorrect date mag Panerai Arktos - PAM092 - the ultimate with the correct date mag Panerai Arktos GMT - PAM186 Panerai 1950 Flyback Regatta - PAM253 V1 Panerai 1950 Flyback Regatta - PAM253 V2 Panerai "Subzilla" Chrono - PAM187 - The version with screwed in indices and correct HE valve - hasn't been available for 5 years Panerai Marina Miltare - PAM217 After mods - DSN AR sapphire crystal, C-Pin fix and superlume PAM111H - mod - C-Pin fix, Palp Crown and Superlume PAM243 PAM005 PAM005 from above - PVD coated and converted into a PAM195 Superluminova Trio - PAM217 - PAM092 - PAM111H PAM092 - PAM217 - PAM111H - PAM195 Last Panerai picture :-) PAM025, 196, 092, 117, 111E, 111H, 212 Moving on to Breitling - 2 Navitimers and 1 Chronomat Evolution ...next up: IWC starting with 2 Inge's IWC GST Chrono in TI - this was probably one of the best reps ever made! IWC Spitfire Chrono IWC F.A. Jones in RG IWC Portugieser Chrono "Panda" IWC Portugieser Laureus IWC Aquatimer Cousteau Divers Chrono 2006 Edition Hublot "Lemon" HBB with Ceramic Bezel Panerai Ferrari Chrono Breguet Chrono with Venus Movement Omega Seamaster Chrono ...and finally my favorite replica of all time - Franck Muller Conquistador with ETA 2892 - I soooo regret having sold it :-( Almost forgot the Rolex Reps - nothing special - Daytona, Sub LV and GMT Master II CHS Hope you enjoyed my trip down memory lane? Cheers WR!
Watchmeister Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 Fabulous thread. I can remember every one of those reps. And with the mods you were doing they are/were state of the art. Do you still have most of them?
txcollector Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 WOW. Great collection and pictures. Very very nice. Congrats on the work and taste. I'm thinking about one of those Cousteau's for myself.
