gtanak Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 1) Bk Wm9 V3 Black Sub 2) Hublot Big Bang All Ceramic 3) AP ROOs Secs@12 4) AP RB2 -photos are just used as a visual reference, with no intention of promotion or misuse.
Member X Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 The Sub. The APs are seconds at 12 and therefore a problem movement (if I remember correctly??). The Hublot is just a 'fashion' watch. Sub = classic You could add a little extra and get a BK/WM9 YM?
deniz21 Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 for me the vote goes to the hublot man after wearing your skyland all day long you will give that sub to your wifey
OSRep Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 I would probably say WM9 Sub/yachtmaster, or the Hublot G! The HBB is a beautiful watch......well, they both are......
gtanak Posted June 1, 2010 Author Report Posted June 1, 2010 for me the vote goes to the hublot man after wearing your skyland all day long you will give that sub to your wifey Very gd point my friend.. i used to think my GMT IIc was the perfect size for my wrist... till i put on my Skyland with the Pro II... suddenly 44mm looks made for my wrist and my GMT IIc looked a little subdued..
By-Tor Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 I love the AP but the seconds at '12 is a shaky movement. And how could you resist the WM9 I wonder...
gtanak Posted June 1, 2010 Author Report Posted June 1, 2010 How much does a gen insert cost for the WM9 anyone? Just want to weigh out all the modding costs for all the watches mentioned.

mas6002mi Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 vac modded DSSD! just giving u more options!
polaris Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 If the budget is $600 then the only option is the WM9 or save for a Gen. The APROOs and HBB would require a service at minimum and ,preferably, a relume. These would push you over $600. The WM9 has the added benefit as being clostest to genuine without any modifications.
Guest Carl Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 For $600 get a gen. There is hardly any rep worth that price. I have not found one yet. This is what a rep board is all about. It's not about finding a perfect rep. There is no perfect rep. It's about finding some fun and some friends. And a good rep from time to time. Carl
georgegrasser Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 I ordered this brand new for $275. Ebay has a few. Sellers are Shanghai based. But I hate it when people pre-judge me, so I find it hard to pre-judge others.
gtanak Posted June 2, 2010 Author Report Posted June 2, 2010 The first thing that hit me was IV. Otherwise it has a nice clean white dial just like a longines presence i had but sold not long ago.
lhooq Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 As far as I know (and have seen), all watches and clocks with Roman numerals use 'IIII' instead of 'IV'. There are several theories as to why that is so. Ordinarily, I'd tell you to get the WM9, but some of those Orises (esp. the Big Crowns) are pretty nice, and can be found -used- at that price.
fakemaster Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 You can pick up three or four watches for that. The possiblities are endless.
gtanak Posted June 15, 2010 Author Report Posted June 15, 2010 Well.. just an update. Since 58% voted for a BK WM9 V3.. i listened to the masses, did my homework and got myself a WM9 V2! Woop! Now i have $100 remainder for gen crown/tube... or a 295 crystal...
