Dizzy Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Hey guys Where would i buy some new pins for my oyster fliplocks? I need the pin at the clasp that holds the fliplock in place. It looks like a rivet or a 2 piece pin that slides into itself like a sleeve. ive never seen these on the sites that sell springbars and links and stuff. Can someone point me in the right direction? I have a gen and two rep bracelets that need this pin to reattach the fliplock and bring the bracelet back to life. Sorry if this is a dumb question but believe it or not i have never had to replace one before dizz
Greystash Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 I believe in terms of the Gen that new pin only comes with a gen replacement clasp.
Brightight Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Dizzy, if you measure it up, length, diameter and head diameter I'll see if I have one, I bought a box of these from Cousins UK to fix a gen Tag for a friend of mine.
donerix Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Esslinger has them too, I just bought some from them and found some in the Miami Jewelry district as well ...
ubiquitous Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 I may have some spares... I'll have to look. If I do, you're welcome to a few...

what2 Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 I think I have a catalog that carries aftermarket versions of the whole kit for about $8, message me if you want one or two
Brightight Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 Unfortunately the ones I have are 1.2mm and 1.8mm respectively (in lengths from 10mm to 24mm. If no one else has any and you get stuck, CousinsUK does a similar box of 1mm ones, L20013, for
Nanuq Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 I stuck a steel pin (like for holding sewing together) thru there, cut off the excess, and peened it down with a brass hammer. Easy squeasy.
ubiquitous Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 I checked my links and bits box last night; not much luck. I found a pin but without the cap

Mapman57 Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 I stuck a steel pin (like for holding sewing together) thru there, cut off the excess, and peened it down with a brass hammer. Easy squeasy. Wow, what a simple idea! I must try that out. Thanks.... I have a 93150 clasp that needs this treatment - been using a 93250 clasp in its place for some time now!
Dizzy Posted August 5, 2010 Author Report Posted August 5, 2010 Yes it seems all too easy to just use a sewing pin... But i guess those are the things you need to do when you are trying to fix a Rolex at the north pole lol Thanks Nanuq Im gunna try it tonight and let you guys know how it works dizz
