gplracer Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 I hear that dumpster diving at estate liquidations can result in some interesting and valuable finds... That is very interesting. Wonder if some V72s can be found at Estate sales. How do you guys find out about Estate sales in your area?

mjmj Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Wow! What a great find. Can you rub off some of your good luck on me please?
JoJo35 Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 I have a perfect matte 5513 dial/meters first. PM me if you might be interested Cheers, JJ
jfreeman420 Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 The gold one looks like an early Rolex Prima. Did you pop the back? It should be a 15j manual wind movement stamped with prima. If so worth a couple grand. Nice find.
rolexmaniac88 Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Sure will! In fact I'll even tell you how much I got for it! Offshore That's nasty!
Dizzy Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 wow thats a great deal!!! Those are going for about $4500+usa right now Yes the nipple dial is a different dial that was found on the 1680/8 all gold rolex. This is just the later model 5513 dial with white gold surrounds. Thats a triplock on there as Polexpete mentioned. The old triplocks seem to have the beveled inside shape of the older twinlocks (line under the crown). I have a feeling that the old triplocks fit on the 702 tubes and thats why we see these old triplocks on tubes without thread gaskets. I could be wrong, but all the gen forums seem to have different answers. dizz
