denimhead
Good Evening Gents, Just purchased Seafoams DSSD(Cartel Ultimate)V5.5, a true Gent and a pleasure to do business with. I have a Genuine Rolex Helium Valve from the older SeaDweller model and wondered if you think it would fit the Cartel DeepSea Case, do both Gen models use the same Helium valve? I only ask as there seems to be some concerns on the forums concerning the performance of the Reps Helium Valve. All opinions welcome. Thanks Denimhead
Jkay
The DSSD rep HEV is designed backwards. It will let water rush inward. At the very least fill it with epoxy from the inside. I do not know if the gen HEV will fit.

I do not know if the gen HEV will fit. As far as i know, only the ETZ V5 version was backwards. The latest Cartel version from what I've read here on RWG is similar to gen construction. Experts chime in though...
Watchmeister
I can't imagine they are the same size. I wouldn't go there. Just epoxy the existing one if you want to take it swimming.
Dizzy
the HEV on my DSSD is much larger than on my 16660 sea-dweller, and the 1665 sea-dweller is even smaller yet. Even if they were the same size, they dont look the same
jmb
The valves are completely different in size AND construction and design.

Cheers DH Hey DH, well the gen screws in the case and it seems the rep is pressed in so you would have to tap the case but tapping a hole that large would need some specialist tools that's for sure.... But i doubt the 16600 HEV is the same as the Deepsea.. Good luck Cheers P.
