freddy333 Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 Ending the work week still wearing my dependably accurate (running -4 secs after 1 month of combined winder & daily wear) beater
lhooq Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 Keeping the Rolex roll going, with lies and distortions. Well, mostly distortions:
ubiquitous Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 Ahhh... It's going to be like that, is it fellers? Okay... Changing to V72 to match the vintage Cosmos...
robertk Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 speaking of Vintage Rollie's, here's an interesting one I'm wearing. Circa 65/66?

robertk Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 Looks like it. Touche! Care to provide any background/details? I've had it for many years. I've got a couple of other 60's Rollies. This one doesn't get the wrist time it used to before I got into reps (LOL). I have fun with the reps, but this one was bought in Switzerland for about $700. It was my regular watch until the 90's when I got the itch for variety. Recently had it serviced and was surprised to find that Rolex won't service these anymore. Fortunately, there are others who do. It's ultra reliable (great movement) and has been trouble free all these years. I think I've serviced it maybe 3/4 times.
kamber Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 Fiddy again today (on black), can't take it off! Although I have swapped to the DSSD for tonight.
ubiquitous Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 That's a killer piece, Robert! Very nice!

Never knew you had it.
Noel Fleischer Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 (edited) Sorry to crash the vintage Rollie party. Just a poor Tag chrono with OEM rubber strap I bought today. Edited September 17, 2010 by Noel Fleischer

It looks well-worn, well-loved, and utterly gorgeous.
