marrickvilleboy Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 Hey guys, Any info on where I can get a datewheel overlay that fits a ETA2824 and fits a genuine dial? The current datewheel is too far too the right. Many thanks! M
If you see Kay Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 Nope, you will always have that problem. The gen datewheel will not fit an ETA movement. Just ask JMB or Aligoat.
watcher Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 A gen dial fits a WM9/Bk dw perfectly on a 2824 style movement. Done it and here is a pic.
alligoat Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 +1 what watcher says- get a DW overlay from BK.
Dizzy Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 Ive used lots of gen dials with 28xx movements and replica overlays. So far I have never had an issue with alignment. Even my PT flat top 3 dial lined up with a gen submariner dial while others say they dont. Im just lucky i guess

Im just lucky i guess I know what you mean Dizzy but my 2824 is a stock movement - didn't come from a rolex rep. THanks for the replies guys.
Dizzy Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 ok gotcha.. so you just need any old rolex rep overlay then? I'll see if i have one laying around also if JMB doesnt have one for you.
