vlydog
Through some digging and personal messages I have found that a lot of us are using one of the following four end pieces for the connection to the Tudor 7031/7032. 605 589 380 358 If I had to choose one set, gen of course, which would offer the best fit? ubiquitous
I used 589's with mine...
rosnik
I use GEN TUdor 358.
creation88
The Big Block Chronos and Montecarlos use 589 endlinks. 605 endlinks are for the Tudor Prince Date Chrono (792X0).
vlydog
anyone know of a reference source?
modelizer
From what I have read the two register chronos (7031/32) were factory delivered with 380's - but many has retrofitted 589's that came with the later 3 register chronos (starting with the 9420) since they offer a better fit for the beloved homeplate. vlydog
Through some digging and personal messages I have found that a lot of us are using one of the following four end pieces for the connection to the Tudor 7031/7032. 605 589 380 358 If I had to choose one set, gen of course, which would offer the best fit? Thank you Since there still seems to be a lot of us building Tudor MCs these days I thought I would resurface my post. I also should add... ...what case are you using? a set of 589s may be the best fit for a Phong case but what if your using a DW and so-forth. lhooq
a set of 589s may be the best fit for a Phong case but what if your using a DW and so-forth. Not sure if you saw my thread from last week, but 589 (and, presumably, 605) is a no-go on a DW case.
vlydog
I will be using a Phong case... Thanks for your input! as always much appreciated
Martyd3
I used 380's and they fit pretty well. All l had to do was open them up a bit.
lhooq
I will be using a Phong case... Only on RWG could I spent this much on a build and end up thinking, "That's what I get for doing things on the cheap!"
chiman12
I used 380 endlinks on my Yuki/DW hybrid...worked fine...
donerix
After looking up www.tudorcollector.com I saw this pic and I think these are 358 endlinks (but then it's a gen case - I assume). Looks like the trick might be to bend up the "ears" a bit so the endlink sits a bit higher: Just thought I ad to the thread. BTW - my 580s suck big time on the DW case
mrboombasteke
So the consensus seems to be that either a 380 or 358 end link will fit the DW 7032?
lhooq
I can confirm that neither a 589 nor a 605 will fit on DW's case. I'm still on 358s.
vlydog
Thanks for all the input here gang. Has anyone used a Phong case?
justlounging
i am using rep 580s on my MCs..well the ears on the endlinks need to be bent but it'll do for me till i can source for better replacements...
vlydog
589's are a no-go with my Phong case. Does anyone have a suggestion?
lhooq
589's are a no-go with my Phong case. Well... dammit! Earlier this week, I lent my 589 and my 605 to 'Mr. 6263' aka the guy who owns the genuine Tudor 7149. If they're a good fit on his watch, I'll see if I can swap them for the 282s he's currently got, and see if they're a better fit on my DW. EDIT: But how is it that ubi and Marsupilami had no trouble on theirs? Is it possible that Phong switched case suppliers?
HauteHippie
Is it possible that Phong switched case suppliers? Not only is it possible, but it might be a given. My experience with Phong cases is on the 16520 side, and he certainly has multiple 16520 case variants. There is only one variant that is desirable/accurate. And sometimes it'll take two or three shippings to receive the desirable case from Phong.
vlydog
Part of the problem seems to be the position of the lug holes
