urbanshogun
My mum has noticed my reps recently, and she has asked me to get her one. It has to be nice quality, and black dial she said. Any suggestions will be appreciated! thanks for reading guys...
plaifender
some more info.... Do you happen to have any ideas for her? Or you just want a random rep with black dial.. Price point? Style? Accuracy? Does she want a well known brand? Classic, or more modern design? If she doesn't care what it is. Go for a Rolex newer explorer. Look great on a woman's wrist in my opinion
andreww
Get a Black Chanel J12 Quartz. My wife just loves it, and she was never a watch person.
ryaku
Explorer is not a bad idea, the old 37mm version fits even better a slim wrist Else some Cartier or Chanelandreww which size would you suggest?
edgematic1
I would definately suggest a Quartz. Both my mom, sister and GF have a Quartz and automatic one. They just don't like it to set the time right of an auto movt. after not wearing it for a while. That's also the reason why there are so many quartz women's watches in the gen world
freddy333
Without knowing her tastes in jewelry, I think the Chanel is the best/safest bet. Most women love them. Otherwise, a nice, understated ladies Rolex Datejust with stick markers should bring a smile to her face.
ispytonyv
+1,000,000 on QUARTZ... If you get an automatic (or God forbid a manual wind), she'll always be complaining about how the "battery" keeps dying. Also, avoid obscure brands (yes, Hubolt or Panerai etc. are well known around here but to your mom/girlfriend/wife they might as well be a Casio). Go with a "fashion" brand: LV, Chanel, Gucci, and the like, as most women know such brands.
urbanshogun
when I asked her what she wanted she said gucci or something. Her watch at the moment is a gold gucci bracelet type thing and various quartz fashion watches. I was thinking maybe a casablanca or a long island FM. Maybe an explorer I, but i think an auto movement might stop her from wearing it. I'm not sure if she would like the J12, she asked for a metal band
capice
depend on your mum's wrist and style.....I met a few ladies in Brussels on a GTG, wearing Pams and a Cartier Tank How about a ballon blue?
urbanshogun
OK I have it narrowed down to a rolex explorer and the cartier tank. I'll probably get her both to be on the safe side white tank and black explorer methinks.
DrRockso
Tag F1 ceramic looks nice, I think WBK sells them.
Noel Fleischer
Can't go wrong with the white Chanel J12 Quartz- 33mm or 38mm. Replicamake has them for $78. I bought 3 as gifts- the women love them and they're hassle free. I also like a plain Rolex DJ 36mm. Salmon or white dials are great for ladies.
