Watchmeister Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 I was just curious for those who have migrated to using an Ipad are you finding your posting has declined precipitously? I find typing so painful on it but love being able to instantly blow up all those great pics that I am hooked. Am I the only one?
Lobster Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 If you can buy me an Ipad, I will gladly join your club

However, my air gets more use, and is not much heavier in the lap, and has a keyboard.
Watchmeister Posted January 27, 2011 Author Report Posted January 27, 2011 For reading, etc, it is great. However, my air gets more use, and is not much heavier in the lap, and has a keyboard. At some point I will probably give the Air a try but for now I love the fact that you can stare at the tablet and instantly expand the type or more importantly the pics for a closer look. That is what has me.
fotoman Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 when i know i'm going to write alot, i bring the Blue Tooth apple keyboard otherwise, after a few months with it, typing gets alot easier
flex Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 I don't use Ipad for watch forums anymore mainly because 1) i foudn that the iPad's wifi system is quite intolerant of slow wifi connection 2) Safari always crashes when I try to read the threads with pictures esp Wristcheck post.
Jkay Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 You can buy an ipad case with a very thin rubber bluetooth kb molded into it, and also, any BT keyboard will sync up. I use the KB I bought for my PS3 on the ipad when I know Im going to be typing a lot.
txcollector Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 I can type as fast on the iPad. Not a problem.

HauteHippie Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Heh. This is some of the most honest iPad feedback I've heard. "My iPad is useful and convenient as long as I don't have to do anything that involves typing." Love it!
txcollector Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Tx- You are probably that same guy who can type as fast on an Iphone as a blackberry. the large keyboard makes it even easier than the iphone or BB
wat44 Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 not killing posting - killing sleep used to say gnight and go to bed now, say gnight, go to bed, and fire up the ipad and talk again result = unhappy wife and loss of sleep!!! also have bluetooth keyboard - but dont use it unless writing alot (say 10 times what I just wrote)
cornerstone Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 I think the ipad owners agree. But they found typing up a reply hard work.
Eton Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Love it, but the wireless isn't as quick as I would like it to be, that's my only complaint. Well, other than the fact that I'm GLUED to my iPhone for giants, it's great and fantastic for surfing (compared to iPhone). My wife reads books on it frequently, so it's a constant battle between us as to who gets it first! Please everyone, go out and buy one...I don't have any stake in Apple whatsoever
wat44 Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 my whole family fights for it the 4 year old saw me enter my password and told my 6 year old - and they crack it for the 2 year old who is the biggest hog for it (finger painting apps and photos) a family just cant have 1!
donerix Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 I am still holding out for the next version, but now that my 8 year old son has his own I feel inadequate . Hi only comment: "Why don;t you get your own, Dad?"
Watchmeister Posted January 29, 2011 Author Report Posted January 29, 2011 Oh yeah, kids got them first. Then I started feeling inadequate getting onto transcontinental flights when there are only crappy movies and everyone whips out their IPAD to watch great movies. the rest is history. I think I am hitting best buy for a keyboard tomorrow.
