In this hobby of ours, you better have the patience of a Monk and level headed, if not you'll go bunkers! Buying from our Members here is a safe bet, but it's not 100% guaranteed. I agree with Hike 100%. You better order a case of replica Valium when you buy a watch. While it is completely safe to own replicas, there is always a chance for seizure by customs coming into the country. While that happens only a tiny fraction of the time, it does occasionally occur. What is going to drive you crazy is the wait!! Depending on where it's shipped from and the method of transportation, time with the good Ole USPS, etc. it could take from 7-10 days up to a month. You need to ask yourself, is my personality such that I can endure a wait of 3-4 weeks without going nuts? Another thing about the dealers, most are really good about communication with customers, but none of them are going to answer three emails a day from a customer about "where is my watch"? Another option for you would be to look for what you want in the sales forums of the various rep sites. If you buy a used watch from a member, first of all it is running, so more than likely the DOA problems aren't going to happen.Second most of the guys here are pretty good at taking photos, so you will have good clear photos of EXACTLY the watch you are buying. Also if you are in the USA, and buy from other members here in the USA, you avoid all the hassles of customs and overseas shipping. I don't plan on buying a huge amount but I have a short list of watches I'd like to own in the US is not illegal to own a replica. There are bigger worries to them. Watch companies would probably only spend money on targeting the watch factories and big time dealers and distributors, not individuals. When drug dealers are caught, the police don't go looking for records of their customers... It's also not likely that the dealers maintain an ongoing list... A near-homeless guy getting a $10 vial of heroine is not who the police or anyone in the legal system benefits from going after. Sure notes might be checked, but that's only if the drug dealer is stupid enough to have them written down. One of the first rules of drug dealing is no names and a good memory. Certainly writing things down is always bad (unless it's to calculate profits.. in that case... pure numbers and lots of code). It seems like news like this comes out about once a year. The number of people that are arrested for couterfeiting is as large as the chinese government says it arrested. Obviously, we NEVER see pictures, trials or the merchandise that police seize in China. More than likely, the government hasn't done anything but release a report and close a few websites. China REALIZES the importance of their huge counterfeit market on its economy. Show me the goods and the 3,001 people arrested.. and I'll believe it If this were to happen in the U.S. or Europe, the police would be posing with the contraband and putting on a press conference. I'm referring to china's fixed exchange rate. If the rate fluctuated with the market, like all other currencies.. china's yen would be stronger than our dollar and lots of china would get out of poverty almost immediately... Josh and Andrew both went down for "maintenance" just before the problems, Both are back up now at their old URLs One might speculate that they got word and closed up shop until the storm passed, but that would be a cynical thing to think - Still, Blue Fakes and Watchez both went down, no great loss there!
