blackbard Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 Hello fellow Pam Enthusiasts. Ive been requested to offer my custom made Panerai caseback tool again to the forum members. I have made these in quantity before but the interest seems to have wained up until the latest release of very nice Pams for modding. There are quite a few members on this forum and others that will attest to the quality and price of these tools. Sure, you can use a ball or tape or what have you, but if you need to "Seal" the case for water-fastness you need the proper tool. Mine are made from solid billet aluminum and are only $35 to the board. If you are interested, send me a PM and as long as I get quite a few responses, I'll go ahead and produce another batch. I know there are other tools out there, but those that have tried them have commented to me directly that mine is better made for the price. Here is a picture in case it helps you decide. This is a must for anyone doing mods to a 44mm pam!
blackbard Posted March 26, 2011 Author Report Posted March 26, 2011 Sorry for the bad pic. I'll take others if required.
oncyte Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 I have one of these and it's absolutely awesome! Definitely a must have.
redwatch Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 +1 - this is a brilliant tool and well worth the small amount of money it costs. This has saved my butt more times than I can think and I always know I have a good seal when I have put the caseback on
blackbard Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 Thanks for the positives guys. I'm tabulating the responses...
bkwbkw Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 In for one too. After cracking the display caseback on my 177L, I wont ever use duct tape again.
blackbard Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 In for one too. After cracking the display caseback on my 177L, I wont ever use duct tape again. I remember when I first released these here, there were people that swear by rubber balls, duct tape, etc. however, I like you have damaged watches using stuff other than a good proper tool... Got you down. If it goes through, I'll respond to this thread when available.
blackbard Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 Please put me down for one too thank you You bet!
blackbard Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 Ok guys, I think we may have enough interest to go ahead. I'll contact my manufacturer today and update on when they will be available. Shouldnt be more than a week if he isnt busy. Thanks.
josh_w Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 (edited) So these fit the 12 sided case backs on the 44mm luminor cases both solid and display? What about the back on a 45mm radiomir case? If so I'll take one too. Edited March 29, 2011 by josh_w
blackbard Posted March 29, 2011 Author Report Posted March 29, 2011 Dont fit the radiomir. Fits all Luminor cases in 44mm. I have made the rad and 1950 cases before, but there is not enough business to justify producing. I have them that I can potentially loan out, but probably wont make any more. Sorry....
w0lf Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 i'm also down for one, please let us know when they are available.
esco Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 These are the best caseback tools ever! I've been using mine for quite some time now and it's in my palm the moment I need to remove a caseback. Glad to see you're still making them for the community!

For $35 I'll still take one!
blackbard Posted March 30, 2011 Author Report Posted March 30, 2011 SPoke to the manufacturer. They are in production now. Should be ready in a week or so.
w0lf Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 Blakbard, what's the approx. timeframe for these being made?
blackbard Posted April 18, 2011 Author Report Posted April 18, 2011 Within a week or so. If you need it now I'll send you mine. Send me a pm.
