Had a chance to put together this 5513.

Here's what I have on the list that comprises this watch:

1) Cartel 5513

2) Slow-beat DG 2813

3) Clarks crystal

4) Clarks crystal o-ring

5) aftermarket crown and tube

Here's what I did to it:

1) bleached the bezel to a grayish color

2) Installed the clark crystal (which fits but have to sand down the retaining ring so the bezel will turn)

3) Installed aftermarket crown and tube as the one from the cartel is too big

4) painted the lume markers to a more cream color

Thought it turned out pretty well - welcome comments and how I can make this look better

thanks for viewing!

I always enjoy seeing white markers on these instead of those silly looking yellow (imitation patina) colors. I would have gone with a gen crown/tube instead of aftermarket, but I like what you have done.

Maybe change the insert for a more vintage one, or change the pearl? I cannot see too clearly, but it looks like your pearl has the metal surround from later inserts. a genuine vintage pearl or and ofrei pearl would be better.Looks like you are on the right track to a very nice watch. I agree with Freddy. Where in the world did they come up with that Baby S**t Yellow for the dial plots and hands? Creamy white or vanilla looks way better.

Theres no metal surrounds around the pearl - my sh1tty pictures i'm afraid. It is the standard one you get from the cartel - actually not bad at all.

@ Others

Thanks for the comments - I was thinking of shaving CG but its too laborious haha

Drill the lugs, shave the CGs on the out side, remove the tube, file 3/4mm off the crown seat refit the crown and tube, or a better one if you have it and done!

Look nice - thanks for sharing!

What aftermarket crown and tube did you use? How hard was it to install?

I think Josh's 5513 comes with a 4813. Did you swap that out with the 2813?

crown and tube are stock, these are MBK pieces, one has a slow beat ETA the other a modern 2836

right now im in love with the white markers, but all it takes is seeing a beautifully aged dial to change that

Crown / tube: just ones off ebay

Movement: Yes, swapped out 4813 for 2813
