Driving manual bad for our movements?

So does anyone think that shifting gears with the same hand as the one you wear your watch on could knock it out of regulation?? I know its a silly question but considering the fact that these arent always the trustiest timepieces and that shifting has impact force i'm trying to figure out the best way to keep my movements in time.

Whatever rep I'm wearing generally gets wound up in the morning while I jump rope. Further, although I usually take them off, I have been known to wear them while working out on the bags. If they can routinely survive that, I cannot imagine that shifting gears could hurt them.

I have nothing but gen Swiss movements.

I must admit, this thru me as a joke post for a moment, since I never drove a car you could shift with your left hand, but I realized that other countries drive on the wrong side of the road and position drivers in the passenger seat - as compared to the U.S.

Short answer, no.

Long answer, accidentally whacking it into a door jamb or table is far more likely than hundreds of thousands of miles shifting your car.

I have frequently run 5k and 10k's and also while lifting in the gym without issue.

If you are really concerned look into buying a Ball brand watch that has a 7,500 g-force shock protection!!!

O.T.

"At Ball Watch Company, we go beyond the above standard by testing the Engineer Hydrocarbon collection with a tougher 1.5 meter hammer strike, raising the resistance to 7,500Gs. We also add a third shock test directed against the relatively weaker 3 o'clock crown position of the watch to test our patented crown protection system and ensure it functions properly. The Hydrocarbon must pass this 7,500Gs shock resistance test without any damage. Finally, the sapphire crystal used in the Engineer Hydrocarbon collection is specially made 4mm thick for better protection." http://ballwatch.com
