Richard Tracy
Hi Guys... My e-mail exchange from Jay regarding hand checking. > Hello Jay, > > One item that we need to address for all, > which may be creating a slow down of follow through is > the issue of hand inspections. > > After one member posted that his watch from you came > in with the broken paint on the edge of the dial, > many people are wondering if they will receive the same > problem. > > Are you performing the personal inspections, or is the > shipper ?? > > We need to get past this issue before we can move on. > > Thank you Subject: Re: Weekly Group buys.... From: "Watch Silix" <silixprime@gmail.com> Date: Thu, November 9, 2006 10:56 am Hi Kevin Yes, we are performing the handpick by ourself. And so far we have got one report of the chipped paint, but that is the only one case, I believe this will be last one. We replied to him promptly to replace the defective watch. I am very unhappy that after we stressed the problem in the beginning with our workers there is still one watch slipped through our fingers. We have stopped more 5 watches with this defect already at our checkpoint, but unfortuantely there is still one got through. Please assure ur group buyers we are checking carefully and will keep doing it. Now we check other brands for this defect as well. And also please tell ur group so far tthere is only one report, after over 10 watches hsipped. Let me know if there is anything else we could do to assure the buyers. Nice day. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As you can see, Jay is tackling this issue with all his might.... So Please... if anyone has not followed through with his order.. please do so.... the future of group buys is in jeopardy here.... You will find his ordering information below.... Thank You ! Okay, Please find below ordering information for Jay. But before, some important info. Here is a photo that I just received from Jay, which he took to show the dial not affected with edge chips. He says also that he believes that he can obtain, the box sets at the same price at EL. Okay, as for ordering, Jay requests that each of you contact him direct at "Watch Silix" <silixprime@gmail.com> for your paypal addresses, as he has set up several for safety. He also request that we order over a two week period so not to raise any paypal suspecions. I will allow him to set the pace.... Okay....Here is the Updated List.... Jay's List... 1. Verbal 2. mystix
Hello Gang... Seeing that this new Ingenieur has turned out to be one of the best Iwcs to come along,... What price would induce you to grab one ? Let me know and I will see what I can do... Edit Edited October 16, 2006 by mystix
Richard Tracy
I have noo clue how much the ingen cost with swiss movement. But I would buy one at 300 River and Andrew already have them at $278,... However I don't know if that price includes shipping... I am shooting for a price well below $278 regardless, Shipping included... Post some prices that you are serious about, and I will try my best to obtain it for you... insane
Isn't $150 more a price to aim for? The 2824 isn't an expensive movement, and there are many reps with it that go for around that price. Is there anything special about it that makes it more expensive?
Richard Tracy
Hmm,.. that may be a bit low,.. and leaves no profit margin for the dealer.. True the movement is not expensive, however the case & band material on this particular watch is high quality, and the workmanship is second to none... Hold for a second while I dig up a post review for you...
Richard Tracy
Here is a great post full of gorgeous photos by Sql Pl,.. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...mp;hl=Ingenieur By the way, does anyone know if Wo-Marts at $159 is the same ?? http://www.wo-mart.com/product_info.php?ma...products_id=
verbal
Have you checked Josh' new AMG..? Datefont seems a bit bolder - experts out there could tell if it's more realistic - If only the caseback would be correct I'd say I'll chip in US$ 250 Any thougths.? insane
By the way, does anyone know if Wo-Marts at $159 is the same ?? http://www.wo-mart.com/product_info.php?ma...products_id=847 $150 is cheap yes, but when WO-Mart is selling many of the 2824 watches at between $140 and $150, he must have a margin. And with a group buy the dealer would still be left with a margin. But of course, if the marnufacturor is more expensive on this particular watch, then $150 is not a probable target. But, if Paul has the same watch for $159, $150 should do. I'm no expert in watch comparisons, so I'll leave that to the pro's. But it would be nice to compare the two. verbal
Agree, it does look great! On timezone there are high res pics : http://www.chronometrie.com/sihh2005/iwc/G...genieur_AMG.jpg Sad to see that the caseback doesn't match.. Wo-marts version has the correct caseback but the rest is way off.... guess I'll have to buy both to get one 99.992%
PAMman
If the same watch that EL sells can be sourced for $200 - $225 then count me in for sure.
mystix
oops i was thinking of another watch. But for the ingenier i will for sure do 150 or somewhere close. 200shipped i will seriously consider perferably the amg version with red needle about pauls version, takashi from dark side says "Wrong dial for this particular model. Not very accurate and not heavy like the more recent replica. It's not made of Ti! SS brushed... which is inaccurate for this model. Get the newer IWC Ing instead... you won't regret." http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic....ighlight=womart Edited October 16, 2006 by mystix
qwert750
As far as I can tell, the gen AMG is only available in titanium. Having it in SS would certainly seem to be a pretty obvious tell. For what it's worth, I like the AMG dial better, but have the standard one on the way from Trusty (first rep). Richard Tracy
Okay since the Amg is not accurate in material, and the EL piece is much better than Wo Marts... I have my first dealer offer of the same model EL has, from Jay at $210.. Shipped... How would that be ?
Typhoon
IMO--insane has the right idea in price and is very astute in his assupmtion & observation. I think $180 incl. ship to USA is a fair price-most especially if there's a guaranteed number of buyers. Try Sash5-he will compete & lower his prices. Good luck...RT. chrgod
I still can't get over that the hands seems to be way too short on the replica Ingeniurs... Else, I had definently been in on a deal in the 180 USD range..
Bignasty
Around $200 would get me in! Not the AMG but the regular model 2824.
