projectologist Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 I had made this post a couple of months ago in the PAM forum, but decided it would good to post here as well. Getting closer 2
hackR Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 verrrrrrrry close......... thanks for sharing...
projectologist Posted August 14, 2011 Author Report Posted August 14, 2011 verrrrrrrry close......... thanks for sharing... And with an almost 25 x price differential!
hackR Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 pin appears to fit tighter and flatter on the gen...only thing that jumps out on me... 25x?...rep is a winner!
mrboombasteke Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 Wow, if it wasn't for the strap, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
PPN Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 Haven't seen the casebacks yet, but the crownguard pin seem to be the only thing that's slightly different to me. Thanks for the pics!
Whatever123 Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 Nice comparison! It's really hard for me to tell which one is the rep... I suppose the first one?
projectologist Posted August 18, 2011 Author Report Posted August 18, 2011 Nice comparison! It's really hard for me to tell which one is the rep... I suppose the first one? It's the second one with the ammo-style strap I have the new 005M on order... that one will probably get DLC coated.
dluddy Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 Looks pretty darn close. Thanks for the comparison
MapsMoney Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 hey where would you recommend getting a rep PAM DLC coated? Thanks!
projectologist Posted December 30, 2011 Author Report Posted December 30, 2011 hey where would you recommend getting a rep PAM DLC coated? Thanks! PM sent...
405356momo Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 pay 6000$ for a gen hmmmm ....notttt!!! plus you take a real good pics in real live gen and rep is so close....
fishtaco Posted August 14, 2012 Report Posted August 14, 2012 Crazy close. Only thing I notice is the rep font is the slightest bit thinner. May have to pick one of these up now..Nice comparison!
folex Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 the L swiss made L is different, but otherwise its pretty damn close
hiker01 Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 WOW! If that's all that everyone could see side-by-side, who in the wild would notice the difference?? Great REP, IMHO!
the_rymeister Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 It's amazing how accurate the reps are Thanks for taking the time and posting May have to include one to the collection
Mike1212 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 also interested on how much and where did you buy?
projectologist Posted September 27, 2012 Author Report Posted September 27, 2012 also interested on how much and where did you buy? My post is from August 2011, so the rep is an H Factory V1. They do turn up in the sales forum from time to time. But now the current Noob Factory version is even nicer and available from most trusted dealers listed here at RWG. 1
Mike1212 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 Thanks for the fast response looks like I'm buying 2 pams now lol pam 111v3 and pam 005 Mike
maxman Posted September 28, 2012 Report Posted September 28, 2012 These Pams are trully amazing. With the cg pin fix It would be very difficult to tell the difference. Even for the most observent Panerai enthusiast. It looks like the noob version has a better cg pin. Happy days.
Ricardo L Posted April 22, 2013 Report Posted April 22, 2013 The strap did give away the rep .. (mental note to replace strap on my pam asap) .. the other giveaway was the lume shot. otherwise it was undistinguishable to me.
ceejay Posted April 22, 2013 Report Posted April 22, 2013 Is it my eyes or is there a bigger gap between the crown & crown guard on the rep?
submarinerdata Posted May 3, 2013 Report Posted May 3, 2013 Hi projectologist, do u think that the new Pam 005n v2 needs some upgrade?
