guru
I'm in the frustrating stage of searching for a donor watch for a V72 Daytona build. Would this movement be a candidate ? It is a Longines 332, clearly looks to be a V72x but the watch is a GMT and there is an extra crown. Would that disquality it ?

It is a Longines 332, clearly looks to be a V72x but the watch is a GMT and there is an extra crown. Would that disquality it ? I'm pretty sure the Longines 332 is a rebranded V72, and I don't see a GMT complication anywhere on the dial. I think the crown at 10 turns the internal bezel. Beautiful watch, by the way. indyberetta
Looks like a V726
freddy333
Looks like a V726 Yes, that is what it is (the V726 is an improved V72 & is similar to Rolex's 727, minus the Bruget Overcoil & MicroStella).
alligoat
It's stamped 726 under the balance wheel at the bottom.
coolfire
Well you could sell it to me if in doubt. Sent from my SGSII
Pugwash
Looks like the extra crown is for turning the bezel. If you do cannibalise that watch for the movement, try and keep the old parts safe because I like the old Longines.
flex
Thats a very very nice watch.. just depressing to see that going to be gut out for a franken...
automatico
"Thats a very very nice watch.. just depressing to see that going to be gut out for a franken..." I agree 100%. A vintage Longines with a V72 is a classic. A Franken Daytona with a V72 is not. Maybe find a lower class donor watch. I found a ratty Wakmann with a V72 for my 'someday soon, maybe never' Daytona project.
